'Shocked' Leyland to shake up lineup
Declaring that he's "shocked" by his team's inconsistent offense and that he at times finds it "tough to watch," Jim Leyland said Sunday that he will shake up the lineup tonight against Boston. He mentioned no names and gave no hints. But one thing to keep in mind is that Leyland has said in the past that leadoff man Curtis Granderson eventually could be a middle-of-the-order hitter.

How 'bout that sweep this weekend by the Twins, Tiger fan? Your crappy, 50 year old starter gets staked to a six run lead in the first inning and you end up losing? HA HA HA!!! Maybe Leyland can throw another tantrum. HA HA HA!!!Dontrelle, come back, we need you. HA HA HA!!!!

I have questioned a lot of Leyland's moves in the past especially his habit of resting his best players a little too much. Like last year. What was he saving them for? You need to make the playoffs first Jim. As for the bizarre moves involving Guillen and Cabrerra I am still scratching my head. Let Cabrerra play first, move Inge back to third and have Guillen DH. Goodbye Sheff. Even though Granderson is the best player, you still need him leading off otherwise he???ll just be hitting solo homers from the 3 spot.

I think it's time that Leyland took a good look at his pitching and hitting coaches. They are not doing a good enough job. It may be time for some changes there as well as is the lineup. 4 against the Red Sox and 3 against the Yankees next. It could be a brutal week for us Tiger fans. Or, we could turn it around and get going on the rest of the year. It will be interesting to see what happens.

Not the first time that teams of lesser talent have outperformed collections of over-paid over-hyped unmotivated superstars.

The tigers are too old and their age is starting to show. Yeah their lineup sounds good on paper, but it is not 2002 any more.

It may be a little too early to tell, but it would seem to me that the "team of lesser talent" would be the Tigers who haves lost four of five to the Twins so far this season. It's a long season, but I'm going to enjoy the moment. Peace, Tiger fan.

Wanted man- that's 3 of 5... So far we suck, but at least do your research when slamming. I wouln't say the season is over, but Kansas city has a better chance of winning the AL Central than the Twins.

You might want to do your research before making a statement like that too. The Twins are a good team. They have the pieces which fit together to make them very balanced, including strong pitching and an offense good enough to score 22 runs in three games against the Tiger's crappy pitching.
Peace love and harmony my brother

Yeah- I'll take my chances. The Tribe is waking up, and although I hate to say it, the ChiSox are just having a slump as well. No doubt the AL Central is always up for grabs but I see no sign of the Twins going post this year. If that was the case then we would have been in the post last year cause we ended the season with a great many wins on your club, and especially when you sent Santana to the mound. I wish you luck- but I wouldn't start figuring the twins chances for a post season until the all star break.

'Bout as well as Rodgers has done in his last five starts. Think Dontrelle can keep the BB under 10 per outing when he comes back?

Not enough pitching and the defense is pretty bad. Scoring eight runs a game doesn't work if you keep giving up nine.

I wish Willie Randolph gave enough of a damn about the Mets to call them out on their inconsistent and lackadaisical offense.
