Ozzie pleads for fans patience

A calmer Ozzie Guillen pleaded with White Sox faithful to remain patient, one day after the manager aimed a profanity-laced tirade at those he accused of jumping off the bandwagon or making lineup suggestions in the wake of the team's slump. "I don't blame them," Guillen told a crowd of reporters Monday night. "I just tell the fans to be patient, that's all. Be patient."

Report Offensive CommentI will find it funny if the White Sox are swept again by the Twins at Chicago. Of course it does not help when Chicago has a 6 game losing streak, recently lost 2 games against the Twins, and the Twins are on a 5 game winning streak. That division is completely unpredictable.

Report Offensive CommentI believe that White Sox fans were very patient last year when the Sox went into the tank. A big part of what the White Sox love about Ozzie is his ability to wear his emotions on his sleeve. The problem with that however, is that after a while all of the swearing becomes white noise. In other words, they hear Ozzie swearing and talking but they (media, fans, players) miss out on the message. His act has worn thin and I think if I am the White Sox I begin looking for a replacement. I think Ozzie has lost this team and it is obvious that fans and the media are sick of his little tirads. Good baseball man, decent short-stop back in the day, but his mouth has written a check that his...well you know the rest.
