Nuggets all-star forward Carmelo Anthony was ticketed for speeding last weekend, Denver Police spokesman Sonny Jackson confirmed today. Jackson said Anthony was driving 60 mph in a 45-mph zone Saturday at 4:13 p.m., in the 2400 block of South Santa Fe Drive. In April, the 23-year-old Anthony was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol. His blood alcohol content that night was .148, a source confirmed, nearly twice the legal limit.

60 in a 45, really?

May 7, 2008  11:06 AM ET

Wow, how much of a bum can he be, I totally lost respect for him after that sissy punch at the Garden last year and now it's just pathetic. Apparently the DUI didn't help him realize that he's not above the law, hopefully someone will just take his license away, even though I doubt that will stop him regardless. Another lost cause with an ego. I smell another future Hall of Weapon Charges Famer on our hands, it's only a matter of time before he gets busted for that.

He was just arrested last month for the same thing, and the cop gave him a break and took him to the Ritz-Carlton. Wonder they took him this time. 2 DUIs in a month, . What would happen to one of us under the same circumstances?

May 7, 2008  11:28 AM ET

Ummm.. I don't know much about his past but I'm wondering if my story will be up here next. I once got ticketed for doing 85 in a 60!!!!! Wow, breaking story!! Shouldn't someone control the crap they put on here? Like I care if someone was speeding unless they were in a $300K or more car doing 145 or higher. Sheesh..

A speeding ticket? Haven't any of the Pacers shot at anyone recently?

May 7, 2008  11:54 AM ET

HLLYWD read the article it says he was speeding not that he got another DUI. I'm sure everybody on here goes the speed limit and has never received any kind of ticket.

Keep your hating focused. This is a joke. Read the news and maybe you will see there is enough hatred in the world lol

May 7, 2008  12:04 PM ET

Its hard to believe Melo is still only 23. His car must really draw attention. I was doing 80 in a 55 yesterday and no one even looked twice at me.

May 7, 2008  12:23 PM ET

How in the world do you get a speeding ticket driving in Denver? There's so much other chyt that goes on, you'd think they wouldn't have time to worry about speeding. I mean, really, you could go 100 down I-25 or 50 in the 30 mph zones downtown and not get a ticket. What in the world does this have to do with sports though? Not like a speeding ticket can happen to anyone or anything like that...

May 7, 2008  01:19 PM ET

Man give me a break. We all speed even the person who wrote this waste of time!!!

May 7, 2008  01:21 PM ET

Man give me a break. everyone on this board speeds some get caught and some don't. How does crap like this even make the news. SPEEDING, 60 in a 45 WTH. It's a sad day in sports when you get to write about stuff like this and it makes the cut.

No Respect

well he was caught speeding at 4:13... His offseason has begun so he must have an excuse to get home by 4:20...

My question is why didn't he get a DUI? If he took a sobriety test and blew .148, he should have gone to jail and been charged. What did they do, write a speeding ticket and release him?

The article says he blew .148 when he was arrested on April 14 for DUI, not last weekend when he was stopped for speeding.

May 7, 2008  03:18 PM ET

The comments following the Denver Post article are more entertaining than the article itself.
