Dynamo eyes Scottish goalie

You might have heard rumblings of Houston expressing interest in forward Joseph Ngwenya, who scored for the Dynamo in last year's MLS Cup and left for Austria during the offseason. One of his reps tells me there is no chance he comes back this year. Meantime, Houston has apparently taken interest in Scottish goalkeeper Derek Soutar.

Houston does need another goal scorer, seems like the one area they neglected this offseason.

Report Offensive CommentThe Scottish guy who played in an early game was a disaster. Hope this one is better.

Report Offensive CommentDerek Soutar is a very average goalie - he's not even in the top 10 'keepers in Scottish football

Report Offensive CommentNo need to bring over an average keeper.

Report Offensive CommentSoutar is a second stringer with Aberdeen behind Jamie Langfield. Langfield's actually a pretty good GK. I would think that Dynamo would prefer him over Soutar...
Point is there are a lot of guys who are better GK's than Soutar. Soutar's only started 13 games in two seasons with Aberdeen. He hardly plays. Get someone else who's a proven goalstopper
