Don't expect to see Roger Clemens in Beijing at this summer's Olympics. U.S. Olympic baseball general manager Bob Watson told the Associated Press yesterday that he does not want Clemens on the team. "From my standpoint, we don't need that type of distraction," Watson said.

Well, the Olympic team isn't female, underage or off-limits----so Roger doesn't want them anyway. So now!

Man, aren't we just the Masters of the Obvious today. I had him pegged as the #1 starter, and now they don't even want him on the team?

WOW!

Fair point Mr Watson, now let's tackle the distraction of holding the Olympics in a nation that is a cesspool of human rights violations....

May 8, 2008  08:30 AM ET

Fair enough Mr. Watson, but it's not jsut the distraction, how about because he can't pitch anymore. He's what 44 now? Please give me a break. Roger's distraction has now become your distraction, with your comment. Hey I got an idea, how about you calling Barry?

May 8, 2008  08:44 AM ET

Like he'd ever be able to pass their drug tests.

you mean our olympic team has enough steroid using, lying, cheating, womanizing, over the hill, has been, sub-.500 pitchers who could barely get out of the 3rd inning(in his last season in MLB)?

this is shocking.
