There are alot more fans of the game who look at the tournament and are blissfully happy that the infantile Woods is not in the game.

With Woods out of the limelight, the real fans of golf can appreciate what's on the TV.

Even at that, the boneheads at the Golf Channel are so boring that they still can't talk about anything but Woods.

The Golf Channel stinks.

Are these golf channel people yuppie scum or what? They dress like CEOs , never trust people in suits, their trying to impress you. Now one of these dorks holds a card that says golf channel like they do on those womens shows in the afternoon. I love when Brandy Chamblee tells us how to win a major, how would ha know? Speaking of women can't they send this Tilghman out of the tower? She puts me to sleep. Put out on the course with Dotty Pepper and other women pro's. Golf channel all Tiger all the time.

I'd rather have Woods for President; then we would be free from The Golf Channel nincompoops who have no imagination and can't think of anything else to talk about except Woods.

Ask people who golf and most of them will tell you they are sick of the media who can't think of anything else to talk of except Woods. It was the same with Greg Norman and before him with Nickelas. Boring.

Another clueless commenter.

Woods had nothing to do with elevated purses.

They were edging toward a million before he even won his first tourney.

And, as far as elevating the fan base, again, the answer is no. All he did was bring in hero worshippers who know nor care about the game itself.

If people choose not to like Woods they deserve respect enough not to be categorized as haters or racists. Many people don't like Woods because he is petulant and an infantile showboat. Many people don't like Woods because of the ridiculous media coverage ala Greg Norman and Jack Nickelas.
