The Knicks continue to deny reports that they are on the verge of offering Mike D'Antoni a contract to become their next coach. Donnie Walsh, the team's new president, sent word Friday through the Knicks' media relations department that reports of D'Antoni receiving a five-year deal are "inaccurate."

D'Antoni would be a good fit for the Knicks. The Knicks have so many guards, they could make it a quicker transition if they get some forwards that can run (aka NOT RANDOLPH AND CURRY!)

Walsh said the report is " inaccurate "....Hmmm? Meaning the offer was not exactly like that?...But close.....D'Antoni is the guy they want, and the best choice, but the Knicks do not want to look like they were turned down if he decides to not accept their offer...Simple as that.

Poor D'Antoni - he must be desperate to consider going to the Knicks. Has the poor guy got some child support he has to pay or what?

well, now that it's basically official -
I just hope we don't have to give Phoenix a draft pick for 'allowing ' us to hire him.......

Uh hello? Making CNN NBA news is the fact that the D'Antoni is the next Knicks coach - Hello? Someone needs to update the news in this section! It's already been confirmed!

Alas, it is too late! :(
The deed has already been done !!
Mike D'Antoni has been lured to the Dark Side. The Knicks succeeded in sinking their claws into him.
Shame on you, Paxson, for sitting around and letting this coach get away. You failed to act quickly enough, and now your opportunity is gone.

" It is inaccurate that we are attempting to unload every player on this team. It's just totally inaccurate."...Walsh
