Defensive coordinator Brian Stewart and safeties coach Brett Maxie met Friday with Pro Bowl strong safety Roy Williams to talk about his commitment to the Dallas Cowboys. Williams said he was happy with the 90-minute meeting and has confidence he will find a comfort zone in the Cowboys' defense. Two weeks ago, Williams said he has been trying to find a comfort level in the 3-4 defense. He repeated the stance Saturday, but said the meeting with the coaches told him his involvement in the defense will increase. Williams missed two days of teaching sessions at Valley Ranch last week to finalize plans for his Roy Williams Safety Net Foundation pre-Mother's Day event for single mothers. The event was Saturday.

I've always enjoyed watching Roy help out on covering a WR.

He has a foundation for single mothers? Almost every Dallas Cowboy has tried to make someone a single mom at one time or another but I had no idea that they had a foundation!

"I've always enjoyed watching Roy help out on covering a WR."

Me too. I'm a fan of long pass plays.

May 11, 2008  09:39 AM ET

That's a very broad statement Outofshapeandinjured. So glad you've been keeping up with the person lives of Dallas Cowboy players. But, seeing as that you have a Red Wings jersey there I'm assuming you are a Detroit fan which would make you a Lions fan which totally completes the picture of your bitterness towards other, more profitable, and winning, NFL franchises.

A foundation for single mothers ? They should call it the "Society should pay for our irresponsibility foundation" or "illegitamits unanimous" or "b astards r us" or "The pregnant unemployed and self entitled foundation"
Don't they already have foundations for these "victims" like "welfare" ( with every birth comes another check ) "medicade" "food stamps" "subsidized housing" etc...
I want to start a foundation called the "keep your legs closed you pig if you can't afford to pay for what you give birth too"... we'll supply all the rubbers diaphrams and spermasides these potential victims need to remain employed taxpayers.. anybody wanna donate?

You guys have to be some of the most insensitive people in the world. How do you all know the circumstances of any of these women. Better yet, if they are even employed or not and just can't find better jobs due to education or lack of experience. Right now I'm in Afghanistan the 5th poorest country in the world. I guess you all would talk bad about the little kids asking my soldiers for money or food as they drink water out of a puddle of muddy water. You guys might be working in a McDonalds for all we know, but even then you would still have a better life than the people here. The world already have enough cruel people in the world, you don't need to add to it. It's truly just ignorance.

You guys, especially Thejerseygiant have got to be some of the most insensitive people I've ever heard. First, why are you all degrading people you know nothing about? You have no knowlege of their economical status, nor do you know if they are even employed or not. Better yet how do you know their not employed and just can not find a better job due to education or just a lack of experience.

Right now I'm in Afghanistan and I see kids and adults beg for food & moneyeveryday. I guess you would probably talk bad about the kids that I see here trying to get a drink of water out of a mud puddle as well. For all we know you guys could be working at a McDonalds, but even then you would have it better than people here. I totally understand I'm in the 5th poorest country in the world, but what I can't understand is how you **** could be so ignorant and insensitive on such a serious matter for a worthy cause. Regardless what you may feel for a team rivalry it's for a good cause;at least he'll get his blessing for it. What if it was your sister who lost everything and the program was there to assist her?

Spot on CPT. And, can I say "HOOAH!!" Thanks for your service!!

May 11, 2008  01:26 PM ET

Nothing was offensive about what I said, those four stars was the word "guys". I left the letter "u" out accidently. I copy everything I type. Sometimes the truth hurts. Especially when an individual looks at themselves and see what they have become.

If Roy makes plays, then of course he will be on the field, if he gives up big plays, then of course he sits!

90 minutes I think signifies my fries are overcooked, or Roy has committed to the Dallas Cowboys. I am confident my fries are overkill and Roy has made the right decision.

Shucks, from the Land of Sky Bue Waters!!!

There was a learning curve for him last year. I think he will be better this year.
