Will Holt bolt Rams for Panthers?

Torry Holt raised eyebrows three weeks ago when he talked about reuniting with his brother Terrence -- a safety for the Carolina Panthers -- when the final two years of his Rams contract were up. "I wanted to just send in my resignation to the Rams and join him down here," Holt told Raleigh, N.C., television station WRAL with a laugh. "What better place to come and play football than in your home state?'" To a degree, it was clear Holt was joking, particularly the remark about "resigning" from the Rams. But on Saturday, in his first comments to St. Louis reporters since the end of the 2007 season, it was clear that Holt is taking a realistic view about his future with the Rams.

Wow,that sucks.Hey how about the Jets trade for Terrence and then sign Holt, that would be bitter sweet:)

D*mn. The Rams without Torry? Don't really want to think about that yet. Some of this is prolly borne from the frustrations of last year. We'll be better this year. If not, we have a lot bigger problems to worry about than Torry Holt leaving in two years.

They never addressed their back-up RB needs and their going to lose Holt? No wonder folks call them the Lambs.

the rams will be insane if ppl stay healthy

We just need to get going agiain, stay healthy, and have a positive year. If they can do that, maybe Holt will change his mind and loose the desire to get out of this "trainwreck"...It'd be nice if 1/2 our team wasn't on the DL this year though...

Outside of Steve Smith for the Panthers last year, the rest of the WR corps could't catch a cold. They have resigned "The Moose" and Torry Holt would be a fine addition also.

Age is catching up with Holt though...

Welcome to Charlotte......that would be AWESOME addition to moose and smith.

That would make them a contender if Delhomme can still throw... Otherwise they are still short 1 arm of being a threat.

I say trade him to the Panthers for a second round pick in next years NFL draft he is on the down side and never runs after the catch anyway he just hits the ground. go after chad johnson roy williams or anquan boldin

its to bad, first Bruce and now Holt? You wonder just things are in Ram Land. It appears nobody is saying anything and nobody wants to stay either. I hope Rosenbllom keeps his ears close to the turf.

I really hate the Rams management right now. Bruce was an aging player who still put up pretty good numbers and commanded respect from his teammates. Holt is a great player and person and I will really hate to see him go. He is all that is right at the position in football.

Holt is a decent human being, so at least there's no chance he'd be heading to Dallass.

May 11, 2008  09:03 PM ET

As we all know, Dallass only brings in **** and criminals.

May 11, 2008  10:30 PM ET

Hey do what will make you happy and if playing with your brother is it then do go for it! The only thing is you still have two years left with the Rams and you are not a spring chicken!

May 11, 2008  10:57 PM ET

Holt would be nice in Charlotte, but, with Smith, Moose and Hackett already there, reciever is not a priority.
