Barca could certainly use a little less yaya on their team, knowwhaddamean? No? Bay Area reference...
Upon reading the headline, I thought, no, go for Man U's yaya 'cause obviously Barcelona's stuff is cut and not getting the job done.

Report Offensive CommentThis guy was one of the few bright spots in the Barca lineup this year. Txiki will be cleaning house, but Yaya will not be leaving. Not by a long shot.

Report Offensive CommentHed be a great pick for Arsenal but like Gaucho said I dont think theyre going to let him go just like that. Unless Pep and Txiki have some big rehauling plans...

Report Offensive CommentIt would be a good move for Arsenal but like Gaucho I can not see him leaving.

Report Offensive CommentThere is no way Barca will let Yaya Toure go. He was one bright spot on a depleted Barcelona midfield. Barcelona needs to clean house, but why let go a player signed last year that could contribute to a new roster era? Eto'o, Ronnie, Marquez, Deco, Puyol, Thuram, Xavi and Gudjonssen need to go. A younger, hungrier team built around Messi, Bojan, Yaya etc. would be tought o contend with. Look at Real Madrid this year. No real stars other than Raul and Ruud. Just hungry players.

Report Offensive CommentA reliable source just told me that Toure is on Pep's list of castaways, so is Henry. Hard to believe, but there might be some truth here. Same source says Eto'o and Zambrotta are on the list of those that he wants to stay....Lot of conflicting reports, but one thing is true...Txiki and Pep will have a very busy 90 days. Surprisingly, Ezquerro is also on the list of castaways. he he he.
I still think Yaya stays, but I'll never say never.

Report Offensive CommentHenry? Really? Henry quashed rumors by stating that he wants to stay at Barca for one more year. Is GM really in a position to offload his contract after just one season? It isn't too financially feasible and I believe that with the correct midfield replacements, Henry will contribute to this team. Eto'o should pack his bags. I forget that he plays for Barca sometimes. I think Pep needs to get rid of old, expiring contracts like Eto'os and Ronnie's to allow his young talent like Bojan and Dos Santos to thrive. Henry is a more logical mentor for these boys. He will instill in both the same killer instinct. Henry should take this role for a year at Barca and then go back to France.

Report Offensive CommentYaya could join he almost did last summer, but he chose barca over the gunners, we need a CB also Kompany has been linked, hope we dont lose anymore players just get a few more
arsenalfan4ever | 05/12/08, 12:44 PM
Report Offensive CommentKompany would be a good pickup for Arsenal. I cannot knock that.
J. HOVA: ALL FOR THE LOVE | 05/12/08, 12:51 PM
Report Offensive CommentYeah i read about Kompany. He needs to get out of the Hamburg mess. Only thing would be that hes gotten lots of injuries already... But a Belgian on a Big 4 team? Hell yeah
ctsubasa | 05/12/08, 01:18 PM
Report Offensive CommentWhile I agree with some of pantherfan's comments, isn't Henry older then Eto'o? You said older contracts but Eto'o is only 26 to Henry's 30. If anyone should go it's Henry based on age alone.

Report Offensive CommentYaya's pretty young and talented, it would be a shame to let him go, but Wenger knows ow to mold his youngsters, unlike Barca.
The new Patrick Vieira?

Report Offensive Commentif yaya heads to arsenal, look for barca to be compensated with an elite player. adebayor hates london... maybe? fabs? i think that barca will go after a guiza or fabiano or david villa, an accomplished fairly young la liga striker. i hope a benzema transfer is in the works. i want eto'o gone. in my fifa '08 seasons i always offload eto'o first. he needs to go. henry will be back for one more year.

Report Offensive CommentThis will be really great for Arsenal, if they pull it off.
MH7KiNG | 05/12/08, 06:44 PM
Report Offensive CommentDoubt this will happen, Edmilson won't be around for awhile, Marquez could play that position but doubt he'll stay at Barca too
Big Chaco | 05/12/08, 06:46 PM
Report Offensive CommentArsenal absolutely need a new defensive mid to unleash the full potential of Fabregas...it's no coincidence that his coming out party this season coincided with Flamini's as an elite holding mid.

Report Offensive CommentYaya doesn't get the credit he deserves because he's surrounded by a lot of big names. When they leave he'll be one of the bright spots in the lineup. He was this year, actually, but the other stars threw a metaphorical blanket over him to block his brightness. If they all leave, I would think he'd stay.
However, Barca's ship is sinking and sinking fast. I'm not sure he wants to be the one to try and stop the leak while everyone else gets the hell off the boat.
