Pedro frustrated by slow rehab

Pedro Martinez insisted he's not one to become depressed, but he showed signs of dejection yesterday over his comeback from the disabled list. Martinez, here to rehab his strained left hamstring, admitted multiple times to being frustrated and declined to declare how healthy he'll be able to stay - or how great he'll be able to pitch - when he returns to the Mets. He said he believes there's no reason to say things like that right now because he thinks he simply needs to get back to the team, rather than proclaim what he'll do when he gets there.

I agree. Too much of that playing around in the ring. Gets tiring after awhile.

You're frusturated? Trust us... I think us Met's fans are pretty frusturated as well

Maybe he just doesn't want to come back and play second fiddle to Santana.

sounds about right...that's why he left Boston - he didn't want to share his ace status. (well that and a few extra mil)

Sucks that he can't take his steriods or HGH to recover faster.

Perhaps his regimen of clawing around in the dirt and pecking at corn kernels isn't as effective as he'd hoped.

Why so frustrated Pedro????????? You should be used to this.....Come back, pitch a game or two, get hurt for 2 to 3 months, Come back, pitch a game or two, get hurt for 2 to 3 months,.......etc.......Retire, you are old, and you suck.

Pedro Martinez, Mike Hampton and Carl Pavano should start a carpool where they can discuss how each of them was severely overpaid and injured more than not.

F'in Petey....go throw Zimmer around a little. That'll get you back into shape.

That's what happens when you get old...cant heal as quick as you used to. Probably hurt his shoulder picking up the pen when he signed his over priced contract.

Does HGH actually help recovery time?

"Does HGH actually help recovery time?"

The theory is that it does. That is why guys like Pettitte were taking it, to recover faster from injuries. I'm not sure if there is any clinical proof of it, but enough "evidence" out there to get players to do it.
