T.O. wants to end career with 'Boys

Past contract disputes involving Terrell Owens have led to holdouts, public disputes and sidewalk sit-ups. Going into the final year of a three-year, $25 million deal, Owens hopes his days in Dallas aren't dwindling. But even if they are, he says the unrest created as he shot his way out of San Francisco and Philadelphia should not be expected this time around. "For sure, I definitely want to end my career with the Dallas Cowboys, and go into the Hall of Fame as a Dallas Cowboy," said Owens, who was also promoting his Wednesday appearance on the MyNetworkTV sitcom Under One Roof. "I'm going to let God fight that battle for me. There was a situation where the contract didn't work out in Philly. With this, I'm going to let it play out and not try to be a distraction."

He never changes his mind, either.

You see, he has grown up. That HOF reference was a tad egocentric though. Come on TO, humble is the word. Nah, that word would never fit him. Yes, he will make the HOF as a Cowboy.

T.O. was not a distraction last year and will not be one this year. Regardless if he is or not it has never affeected his performance on the field in Dallas. Some adults mature later than others and some love that extra attention. In T.O.'s case I think it's both, but that's my dog! He will blow up this year, just like last. If **** Horn comes, Terry Glenn retrns 100% from injury, can you say SUPER BOWL!!!

TO is stroking the organization for more gold with these rermarks. Dallas and Pats will both slip this year. Dallas couldn't beat the Skins at the end of last year. And TO gets ugly when the wagon stops.

Dallas couldn't beat Washington last year because they held most of their starters out of that game. They were 13-2, and had homefield wrapped up.

And everyone thought Jones going for TO was a bad idea... including me. I'd like to see him stay a Cowboy until he retires :)

May 13, 2008  07:39 AM ET

You guys will LOVE him, until he turns into a JERK-OFF!

May 13, 2008  07:40 AM ET

Jones will get the deal done for at least a two year extension. TO will still be pro bowl caliber at 36.

QQ -That's my qb man... QQ

May 13, 2008  07:48 AM ET

Why do so many people hate on T.O...all the T.O haters last year said the whole season wait till he blows up this season and he didn't can't you guys see he's happy he's where he wants to be and is where he's wanted...cowboys should sign him up longer lets go BOYS

May 13, 2008  07:57 AM ET

Hall of Fame??? I don't think so.

May 13, 2008  07:59 AM ET

I looks like T.O. has finally matured so will see what happens. Although at 36 he's on the decline but should still have a decent season. Glenn at 100% gives you an average player at best at this point in his career. I would leave Crayton in as your 2. Signing Horn would be a waste of cap space.

May 13, 2008  08:01 AM ET

T.O. is a hall of famer only if he gets a sb at some point in his career and time is running out.

May 13, 2008  08:09 AM ET

Hoorah!!! At least we know where he will stay unless he screws up somehow.

That game meant nothing to Dallas other than bragging rights. As it usually plays out, Dallas split with Washington. They had already sewn up home field advantage and the best record in the NFC.
