Zambrano apologizes to Edmonds

Carlos Zambrano buried the hatchet with Jim Edmonds on Wednesday and apologized Thursday for his angry display against the former St. Louis outfielder during a heated Cubs-Cardinals game in July 2004. Zambrano was ejected for allegedly throwing at Edmonds in a game in which he screamed at the outfielder while he rounded the bases after a home run. Edmonds said the incident has "been over for a long time" in his mind. "There are guys out there who hate each other more than he and I do," Edmonds said. "They'll all play together eventually too."

HA...all you Cubs and Z haters yesterday that were bashing him can now see what those of us who follow the Cubs were saying. This is a different Z from 2004. He's a better player and more mature athlete. Way to go Z. Thanks for proving those of us who see what really is happening with the Cubs is positive and coming around. As opposed to all the haters that just spout their mouth off and spread the hate.

i say edmonds is gonna be a great pick up. veteran, knows what it takes to win a WS, not gonna cost cubs anything and they don't need him to play everyday. they can put him out there in situations where he'll succeed.

UM THAT FAT GUY STILL STINKS EDMONDS WILL STILL GET HURT AND THE CUBS WILL STILL NEVER WIN ANYTHING. MAYBE THEY SHOULD CUT BACK SOME TEAMS IN THE MAJORS TOO MANY TEAMS EQUALS POOR TALENT POOL. START WITH THIS EXTRA TEAM IN CHICAGO THEY NEVER WIN ANYTHING BREAKEM UP AND DISPERSE THEIR PLAYERS.
