Why Paterno was hospitalized
Posted: Friday May 16, 2008 05:46AM ET
JoePa is OK. Hearts fluttered when it was reported yesterday afternoon that Joe Paterno had been taken by ambulance to Mount Nittany Medical Center in the late morning complaining of nausea, weakness and fatigue. But after being treated for dehydration and undergoing several hours of tests, the 81-year-old Penn State football coach was released by late afternoon, said Jeff Nelson, assistant athletic director for communications. "He's home resting," Nelson said last night. But not for long. According to Nelson, Paterno was still planning to fly to Austin, Texas, today to be the keynote speaker at a function for Texas coach Mack Brown.

Report Offensive CommentHe's 81 years old and his parts warranty expired a long time ago but to wish him dead is to invite Karma to bite you on your arse. He'll be dead soon enough. Let nature take its course.
