Labonte close to deciding future

Bobby Labonte said he is no longer agonizing over whether he will stay at Petty Enterprises or drive for someone else next season. Labonte said he is likely within two or three weeks of having final answers concerning his driving career beyond this season.

Yep, according to a "source" he signed a contract that would allow him to finish his career at Petty Enterprises.

Even the commentators last Saturday night mentioned it.

Labonte is staying with Petty. It's a good fit for him and them, and he has in Robbie Loomis a terrific racing GM.

Interesting. To me it sounds like RCR is not out of the picture. It was made clear on NASCAR Now that RCR needs to have a driver named for the Cheerios/Betty Crocker car by mid-June per the sponsor. That is about 3 weeks away.
