I love the way Samir Nasri plays. So smooth. I think Juventus wants him too. I see him more in the Serie A and La Liga. He'll probably go the Zidane route and play for Juve and eventually go to Madrid

Report Offensive Commentyea, i doubt only two PL clubs are after him, im sure it will be some battle to claim him.

Report Offensive Commenti think he's the best frnech prospect since zidane, any club could use his brilliance. He is a mega star in the waiting, the face of the new France

Report Offensive CommentNasri + Benzema = Nasty attack!

Report Offensive CommentI still think our answer is to get two wingers and move Babel up front with Torres. The kid has proven he can score when he can attack and I don't see the need to blow a load of cash on Nasri when we can probably get Barry and Bentley for the combined price of Nasri.

Report Offensive CommentNasri is an incredible talent. If these teams want him badly, they better try to agree to a fee with Marseille soon because after the Euros the price will only be higher. I don't see him as a Liverpool player at all; he's too attacking. He would fit in well with the Arsenal set-up much better.

Report Offensive CommentAdding Nasri would be absolutely phenomenal. He would be a sure-shot signing. However, I'm with Treehorn on this one - Barry & Bentley Co. would be the way to go. Both solid English mids and for about the same price.

Report Offensive CommentIf Liverpool gets Nasri they will win the Premiership. Nasri >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Barry and Bently. Just thinking about Nasri and Torres feeding off of each other with service from Gerrard is giving me goose bumbs.

Report Offensive CommentIf Liverpool can land Nasri and a defender to bolster their ageing back line then they will have some squad to reckon with.

Report Offensive CommentLiverpool need: Nasri, Benzema, Bentley, Barry, Rafinha, and Quaresma.
If we can't bring all of them to Anfield, then we will definitely need to add Huntelaar and Aguero.
'Poolmyfinger | 05/17/08, 09:51 PM
Report Offensive CommentAnd there is no way u can afford all of them. Nasri is 30 million pounds, quaresma is 20-25, Benzema is now more than 50 cause of his new contract, Barry is 10 but u can afford him, rafinha is around 6, Bentley is about the same as barry probably. Huntelaar is 10-15, aguero will cost a lot too new long term deal with atletico. so ur transfer line-up is 116 million dollars? are u on some sort of drug?
nasri would come to arsenal over liverpool any day...better team, french manager, more continental style of play. gerrard now plays his position and i would take gerrard any day. neither of those guys can possibly play that rotation BS. honestly anfieldyank, u have no shot at him. anyways, hleb signed for inter milan so we have a gap at playmaker
edwards07 | 05/18/08, 12:38 AM
Report Offensive CommentI believe he was being a little sarcastic. Gerrard can easily drop back into his box to box roll as opposed to his attacking mid roll to allow Nasri to play more up top. Liverpool could use him just as much as Arsenal.

THANK YOU. I am glad that you point out that it was mere sarcasm. Unfortunately Le' Arse fans are not able to distinguish any form of sarcasm because of that typical "head up the arse" routine.

If anything, your lot have plenty of gaps. Your whole defensive lineup needs a change, you need to swap out a few players (bendtner, Gilberto Silva) and your gaffer Wenger needs to stop the French arrogance and put Walcott out more. Hleb was mediocre, so you should be thankful he went to Inter. If anything, you lost out when Flamini packed his bags.
Realistically, Liverpool will get Bentley, Barry, Rafinha, and maybe Huntelaar or Malouda (seriously: BBC sport). We are not just going to go on a shopping spree mind you. In return we will offload Crouch, Voronin, Alonso, Benayoun, Pennant, and Riise.

Report Offensive CommentConsidering the 6-5 rule might be applied in a couple of seasons, Liverpool should bet on English talents...

Report Offensive Commenthahaha it's gonna take more than nasri for liverpool to win the league!!
pezeeunited | 05/18/08, 11:35 AM
Report Offensive Commenthahaha sarcasm? and if you paid any attention to arsenal news (which you probably shouldnt seeing your a liverpool fan) you would know that arsenal are attempting to make a bid for yaya toure to play in Flamini's old position. Hleb was only half-mediocre. He set things up brilliantly, its just that his goal total was embarassing. Anyways, the gaffer has said theo will be seeing a lot more of the pitch next year. i agree with you about bendter though...with eduardo back next year and the large possibility of David Villa or Mario Gomez being at the Emirates as well Bendtner needs to go.
Why Riise? i mean he only uses his right foot for balance but that cant be the reason. Alonso needs to go but benitez hates selling spaniards. Spanish arrogance eh?

Report Offensive CommentThis summer Arsenal will again spend lots of money on a couple of 18 year olds who won't blossom before 2010. Once again the Gunners will fall short of expectations. Most pundits will speak for weeks about the "exciting potential" this team has. They will add they are poised to win the title over the next three years. But at the and of the day, the so-called top notch youngsters will depart from Arsenal to join real prestigious clubs such as AC Milan, Real Madrid etc.
By the way, don't even think of David Villa or Mario Gomez signing for Arsenal... Villa is Real Madrid bound, and it seems Gomez's willing to spend one more season in Stuttgart.

Report Offensive CommentYea i think Arsenal is in trouble Given many of their players are rumored to leave, and Arsene wont break the bank to replace them
D'A | 05/18/08, 04:49 PM
Report Offensive CommentNasri is the perfect Arsenal target. If he is going to leave France he should go play for Arsene.
