Ricky expected Parcells cut

07:21 AM ET 05.17 | Even running back Ricky Williams was surprised that Dolphins Vice President of Football Operations Bill Parcells didn't cut him when he took over the team in December, because in his opening speech to the team he stressed having players with character, rather than characters. "[Parcells] was describing the kind of player he wanted," Williams told the Austin (Texas) American-Statesman in Thursday's editions. "Honestly, I had doubts if I was going to be that type of player."
