Kyle Busch will test a Formula One car with Toyota later this year in Japan. As teams get ready for Saturday's Sprint All-Star Challenge, Busch said Formula One is something that appeals to him, but not on the near horizon. "I'm planning on retiring at 30 and going Formula One racing," the 23-year-old Busch said at Lowe's Motor Speedway. He also reveled his plan to drive an F1 car for the first time at the end of this year when he goes to Japan to do NASCAR exhibition runs for Toyota.

May 17, 2008  10:50 AM ET

He must have been joking. No way is he going to retire at 30.

May 17, 2008  11:38 AM ET

He won the pole for the All Star race.....who is going to stop this train?

May 17, 2008  11:59 AM ET

No way! His ears wouldn't fit down into the cockpit!! Or, other teams may claim theay are an unfair aero device...

You would think Busch would stick around to make the case for the best driver ever in Nascar. He is all talk though. I doubt he would ever switch to F1, Toyos are not competitive in F1 its Mercedes and Ferrari over there.

Why wait Kyle? Just leave now.

May 17, 2008  03:47 PM ET

Please leave I need to win. Signed Jr.

CLASSIC!

"No way! His ears wouldn't fit down into the cockpit!! "

They would just bind them behind his head and use them as stop chute like drag racing.

May 17, 2008  05:42 PM ET

he isn't even the best road course racer in NASCAR. If he beats Montoya, Gordon, or Stewart at either Watkins Glen or Sears Point then maybe. There is a reason Gordon didn't make the switch when he had the chance.

May 17, 2008  05:52 PM ET

he wont last long tearing up those very expensive open wheeled machines.

May 17, 2008  06:44 PM ET

Sounds like a publicity stunt to me. Those F1 drivers wouldn't take kindly to Kyle and his attitude.

May 17, 2008  08:10 PM ET

I wouldn't worry about the F1 drivers, aren't they all the size of jockeys but with deeper voices?

That's just outstanding Hillary, you support two losers. And since you want to nitpick my grammatical errors, maybe you could describe string theory, or the fibonacci sequence for me. Better yet, why don't you enlighten us all as to why Budweiser really is the "King of Beers" since that is probably more your speed.
