Late last week, new Dallas Cowboys cornerback Pacman Jones moved to the Dallas area. The only thing left for him to do now is become eligible to play for the team that traded for him in April. He plans on taking a step in that direction in the next few days. Jones said he and his agent, Manny Arora, will call NFL commissioner Roger Goodell and ask for permission to join the team's player program with consultant Calvin Hill, begin working out with the team and participate in organized team activities (OTAs), which begin Tuesday morning. Under the terms of his suspension, Jones is not allowed to visit the team facility or participate in any team-organized training.

I agree. Stay clean and out of trouble then playing will happen.. Could be a total bust but if he can mature and get common sense.. big addition. Coin Flip..

Let the man back. You have a coach who's admitted to cheating who wasn't suspended for one game. Pacman served his suspension. Let him back..

I think you meant "that will teach him". And what law has he broken that requires him to be locked up for 4-7 years?

For some folks Dinero, being a hater is a way of life that gives theirs purpose! I agree, a year is enough given some of the other punishments (or lack thereof) handed out by Gooddell!

Correct me if I am wrong but wasn't he supposed to do something to show he wants to improve himself? What kind of give-back programs has he been participating in besides TWA or whatever that phony wrestling is called?

If he has shown he is growing up and accepting the responsibility that comes with being a professional football player let him back in. But if he treated the suspension as a "If I don't get in trouble I'm back in" then remind him he is supposed to show improvement, not just stay out of police lineups.

BigBlueLube,

Obviously your opinion is slanted he has done plenty of charity work which has been documented and commended by the commish...A year is certainly long enough for him to be at least eligible for practice. I agree with all the comments will Belechick not receiving one game for his cheating. I know these rules weren't instituted back then but let's not forget Leonard Little actually killed someone with his drunk driving and then preceeded to get another DUI charge....A year is long enough don't ya think

He has been doing quite a bit here locally in Atlanta. GHe has made the rounds of quite a few schools here speaking to student assemblies regarding life choices and decisions and the impact they can have on ones future if the right ones aren't made. He has done so while lamenting the poor decisions he has made thus far in his young life and the fact that he is hoping for another chance to "get it right" this time! He has also provided food to the Feed the Hungry program here including serving meals himself. Along with that he has assisted with donating fans to the elderly who are without A/C in preparation for the summer heat. So to answer your question, yes he is "doing something to prove himself", though in the eyes of many I doubt this will be enough to satisfy the "hate-mongers"! In fact given the sentiment I doubt he will EVER be able to do enough to get this behind him! It's an unfortunate by-product of some very poor decisions. Count me among the few who thinks he deserves another chance..............now!
