Peavy may be headed for DL

06:57 AM ET 05.19 | Jake Peavy was scratched from Monday night's scheduled start against the Cardinals and will have an MRI examination Monday to determine what is causing what he termed "discomfort" in his right elbow. Peavy, who missed five starts in 2004 with an inflammation in the flexor mass of his elbow and forearm, admitted to being "concerned" about what he is feeling in his elbow and said he could be a candidate for the disabled list. "It's not normal soreness, which is why we're going to have it looked at," Peavy said. Peavy said he feels discomfort on every pitch.
