06:20 AM ET 05.20 | Greg Schiano's "State of Rutgers" appears to be extending its recruiting borders. The Scarlet Knights received a verbal commitment today from defensive lineman Andre Civil of Sheepshead Bay High School in Brooklyn, and may add another player tomorrow when tight end Paul Carreola holds a mid-afternoon press conference at Neshaminy (Pa.) High School to announce his college decision. Carrezzola, a 6-3, 250-pounder, has been hinting that Rutgers leads over Pittsburgh, North Carolina State and Iowa. Civil, a 6-3, 240-pounder, has a chance to bulk up to 270 to 275 pounds and move inside, said recruiting expert Mike Farrell of rivals.com.
