Cowboys close to Newman deal

The Dallas Cowboys and cornerback Terence Newman are close to agreeing on a new multi-year contract, according to two sources, but the deal faces a tight deadline. If NFL owners opt out of the current collective bargaining agreement at their spring meeting today in Atlanta, contracts done afterward would have to follow more stringent salary-cap rules set up for 2010 and beyond.

No Linebackers? Yeah... that Demarcus Ware really isn't that good...
Old Wide Recievers? True, but they have 3 speedsters waiting in the wings...
Barber 3rd down back only? Yeah, because 959 yards is typical of a third down back
Saftey is a mess? Ok fine, you got me on that one. But with Keith Hamlin, there is at least some consistancy.

Dallas will take the NFC East again... Eagles get a wild card birth... NY G-men don't even make the playoffs... its 12:01am Cinderella.
