Free-agent receivers calling Dolphins

Aware of Miami's questionable depth at receiver, agents of several veteran free agents have called the Dolphins. But Miami hasn't pursued Chris Henry and Koren Robinson (who both have a history of legal problems), Eric Moulds and Tim Dwight, among others, their reps said. That leaves, for now, Tab Perry, David Kircus, Greg Camarillo and several undrafted receivers competing behind Ted Ginn Jr., Ernest Wilford and Derek Hagan.

He is an advertisement.

the best thing about the nfl is the players where helmets and i don't have to look at their ugly faces. they should where their helmets off the field also. like ricky williams and lasdanian tomlinson

How many times does Parcells have to say he doesn't want problem children before these people listen.

May 21, 2008  08:15 AM ET

chris henry won't be able to make training camp. he's overdue for his monthly arrest

May 21, 2008  08:59 AM ET

They should call up Keyshawn. He'll help tremendously in the blocking in the running game and converting third downs. He's also a big target for the red zone. If he got the right weight training and bulked up, he could play a few years at TE and be be one of the more athletic TE's in the game if he choose to make such a switch.

This could be the worst group of receivers in all of football. Ever! This is gonna make for an awful long season for whomever is quarterback. Good luck Phins......You'll be picking first again next year.

May 21, 2008  09:01 AM ET

Since when did Parcells' become sooo concerned with a players character? He did coach keep LT didn't he?

May 21, 2008  09:17 AM ET

Parcells knows what he is doing. Greg Camarillo will be decent Ginn is fast if they can find some one to through him the ball. Ernest WEilford will help these younger guys grow. I aint worried i am calling 6 wins this year and one hell of a running game.

May 21, 2008  09:32 AM ET

How many coaches have the Fins had in the past 10 years? SIX, that's way too many. BTW: Is Parcells the coach there now? Parcells will wear his welcome out in 3 years then what?

Six win maybe a stretch DaytonPhin.......

He as Ricky Williams there getting along fine I think the weed is getting to him and wants more.

May 21, 2008  09:38 AM ET

Ted Ginn Jr., Ernest Wilford and Derek Hagan.
Now that sounds like a killer receiving core... Too bad Booker left, he would have made that list even more insignificant.

I don't really like the Dolphins but I hope they do well next year.

May 21, 2008  09:39 AM ET

Chris Henry in MIA... I'm sure he'll have plenty of "fun" there.

May 21, 2008  09:41 AM ET

Now leading the Cowboys in receiving yards and convictions...Chris Henry!!!!
Momma is so proud....

May 21, 2008  09:53 AM ET

Tim Dwight?? Good grief. None of those recievers are good fits for Miami.....Koren Robinson needs to go to Baltimore, ATL, HOU, or KC, Chris Henry needs to grow up, and Eric Moulds used to be one of the best recievers in the game, he looks like he lost a step or two.

May 21, 2008  10:51 AM ET

Uhhhh note to self. When "you" have to contact a team to let them know your available it should be a wake up call.

May 21, 2008  11:01 AM ET

Agreed that they don't need any "problem child" players, especially in light of the announcement that teams will be fined for player misbehavior. There are some good receivers in the CFL who would do anything to play in the NFL. A good # 2 or 3 could be signed cheap.

I don't think the lack of the a passing game will hurt a Parcells team. The hallmark of his teams have always bee good defense + strong running game + competent, mistake free QB'ing. They have all the pieces in place for a good running game with Jake Long and Ronnie Brown. The defense will take some work but I think with better coaching they can turn it around. Chad Henne has some promise, although his development will take some time. 6 wins this year would surprise me since I think the Patriots, Jets, and Bills are all significantly ahead of them in talent, but I wouldn't be surprised with 4-5 wins. This team will eventually turn it around, but don't expect it to happen immediately.
