Bucks feeling out interest in Redd
In the last week, several officials from both the Eastern and Western Conferences acknowledged the Bucks have been gauging the interest other teams may have in some of their players. The most notable one is All-Star shooting guard Michael Redd. Redd is unquestionably the Bucks??? best player, the one who would bring back the most in a trade. However, while Redd is one of the most prolific scorers in the league, some teams are reluctant to take on his sizable contract. Redd will make $15.78 million and $17.04M over the next two years, respectively.

Nice player, but he's an all-star because he's on the Bucks-
A team that plas no meaningful games- which trannslates into the other team not playing D on yoy....therefore your stats go UP
if he goes to a real team his #'s drop dramatically & he's a middle of the pack talent- with a LARGE contract--which means no value
That being said- I'd give you Eddy curry for him........

Pure shooters in the NBA are a dying breed. Redd in the right situation is a game changer. Cleveland would be in the Eastern Conference finals if they had him.

The Knicks will trade whatever draft picks they have plus Balkman and Lee for Redd. Oh. I forgot. Isiah is not in charge anymore. lmao.

As an OSU alum, i would love to see Redd come on back home. He had the chance to come to Cleveland a few years ago, but turned down the chance to be on a winning team in order to sign a max contract with the Bucks. I aint mad at him, but he would be a great fit for the Cavs because James, Redd and Gibson would be deadly. James and Gibson are the only 2 players on the roster that I believe are untouchable so the Bucks could take their picks. I'm not sure how the salaries match up, but i think a good exchange would be Wally Szerbiak, Damon Jones, Delonte West, and Anderson Vrajeo for Redd. I think the Bucks would like the deal because Vrajeo makes them better defensively immediately and the other three can make up for Redd's scoring. The Cavs would become better immediately, but wouldn't be as deep.
The Cavs starting line up would be:
PG Daniel Gibson
SG Michael Redd
SF Lebron
PF Ben Wallace- I would love it if we could find someone to take him, but that contract makes him unmoveable
C Z
- Our bench would be Joe Smith, Pavlovic, Dwayne Jones and we should resign Ira Newble since we would have room for him in the rotation. We still need a true PG, but I would like this team because it would surround Lebron with lethal shooters in Redd and Gibson. A true PG to run the show would take the Cavs to the NBA Finals with a chance to win it.

The Bucks should just give away everyone, they're no good anyway. Seems to be a trend in WI pro sports. Trade away your best player and watch them flourish with a new team. I'll never understand why players are good before they come play in Wisconsin and then suck when they get here, why they suck when we draft them, we trade them away, and they become superstars, or they're the star of our team, we trade them away, and they become even better. Only team that doesn't pertain to right now too much is the Brew Crew.

I was thinking Redd would look nice in Cleveland. James would free up alot of open looks for him. I don't know what the Cavs have that anybody wants though..

Redd would be great for Cleveland but the Cavs have little to offer in exchange. If Ray Allen continues his playoff struggles for the Celtics the Bucks should offer Redd to them and try get some 3 team action going.

I agree with gobuckeyes - Michael Redd on the Cavaliers would totally make them so much better. Lebron could penetrate and dish out to Redd who would be waiting on the wing to drain a 3-pointer. With Big Z and Big Ben manning the paint... the Cavs would have a really good team next year.

Yeah Cleveland needs to make a move. FAST. LeBron in NY is lookin like a possiblity right now because of how poorly they performed this season. I mean, everybody in the East got better, even the Sixers and the Hawks. So, i mean, alot of people are gunning for the Cavs to be the next Miami Heat. I would say Redd would be the answer, but if you live by the jumper.. you die by the jumper.. and if that jumper of Redd's ain't fallin.. then we got another Ray Allen in Boston situation. Great shooter, but won't perform on a big stage. If i were the Cavs, i'd go after Artest.. at least he can get his own shot and not rely on LeBron driving and kicking all the time. Somebody the opposition has to respect, on both ends of the court..

Cleveland makes sense for Redd, but what the hell does Cleveland have that Milwaukee would want? Also, the Bucks need a makeover. How many times do they need to be in the lottery to turn things around?
The NBA is all flash and very little substance, except for teams such as San Antonio, Detroit, Boston and L.A. Hey, nice final four, huh?

Whoever ends up with Redd with be dissapointed he's a me first guy that looks for his points and will never set anyone up or help anyone.. the only thing that made him get his money was playing next to ray allen for three years.. he can only shoot when open.. good luck if he has to create a shot or if any good defender is on him.. Disgruntled bucks fan.....
