Miami president won't taunt Trump

So ''excited'' about the future of her football program under Randy Shannon, Miami president Donna Shalala said she chose not to respond to Donald Trump's told-you-so letter in which Trump indicated she erred by not hiring Texas Tech coach Mike Leach instead of Shannon.

Well...the right combination would've been Leach running the offense and Shannon running the O but we can't have that. I think Leach is one of those offensive genuises but his defenses have sucked.

See!!! I am not the only person that has a white hot hatred for Donna Shalala

What position did Trump play? I don't know much about Shannon, but I know Miami doesn't need Leach's gimmick offense with all the blue-chippers they get. I still don't like them.

Pathetic for T & R to dig up this scrap of nothingness. Who gives a flying crap what Donald Trump thinks about anything other than building giant ugly buildings and the art of douchebaggery, his only apparent areas of expertise?

Randy Shannon is the black Ron Zook. That is, he can recruit, but can't coach. He'll the Co-Canes on probation within two years.

Does everyone forget that UM had the number #1 recruiting class this past year. Give the guy a year or two, The Canes will be back to stop on the Seminoles, and everyone else in the ACC.

And how many times has Noder Dame had a top 5 class the last few years? Recruiting don't mean ****.

And why do I think Miama will not be back? Because they have a terrible coach. In 2009, Randy Shannon will not be there.

I think Shannon will have the Canes back in the mix in two years; maybe sooner. ACC contenders and looking at the national picture before this incoming class completes its four years.

The Truth:

Notre Dame had a top 3 recruiting class the last 2 years. All of those recruits made up about 75% of our starters. After last years gained experience and some key freshmen coming in we will be considerably better than last years disaster. With some coaching changes and charlie weis taking more of a head coach approach and letting his assistants have more say, it looks good. Here come the irish!!!
