Steroids dealer gives up names to NFL
David Jacobs, a convicted steroids dealer from Plano, Tex., provided documentary evidence to N.F.L. officials on Wednesday that his lawyer said tied several players to the use of performance-enhancing drugs. Henry E. Hockeimer Jr., Jacobs's lawyer, said his client gave e-mails, canceled checks and other records to N.F.L. officials at a meeting in the Dallas area. Jacobs, who was sentenced to probation on May 1 for distributing banned substances, has said that he provided two players with steroids and human growth hormone, and that they would then supply other players.

e-mails, canceled checks and other records .
Might as well get it all out there and be done with it, it will get out there. Deal with it now. The evidence is there if it exists. Better to do it in house than to go through the federal hearings that baseball has gone through.;..
I am sure the league is filled with it. Deal with it now, and then move on.

The NFL is the teflon league. This will all be swept under the rug and people will forget about this story in a couple weeks.

Who cares. The list probably consists of every player in the league. I think we have just assumed this kind of thing was always going on in the NFL.. At worst they will get smacked with a 4 game suspension and everyone will forget after that.

Fifolo said it succintly and well.
Most of the responses to this story hilariously illustrate the difference between NFL and MLB fans, i.e., much of the NFL's fan base cares as much about steroid abuse as fans of professional wrestling do.

It's bad no matter which sport it is. It definitley bothers me, but if I weathered the 90's Cowboys and all of their antics, I'll survive a steroid scandal.

Yeah, but a criminal with "e-mails, canceled checks and other records" who is ousting other criminals (law breakers) sure does.

somehow people's panties don't get all wadded up over this...
I guess we just expected this sort of thing from the NFL...I mean 6'5" 350 lbs of pure muscle with the speed of a track star, this is just typical results of a well balanced diet.

NFL players have far too much integrity to try and get an unfair advantage from using illegal performance enhancing drugs.
