The Suns and Bulls still share interests in who coaches their teams next. They are the only NBA teams searching for a coach, and both have plans to interview ex-Suns and current Jazz assistants Tyrone Corbin and Jeff Hornacek this week. The Suns and Bulls interviewed ABC analyst Mark Jackson, and the Suns could be planning to interview two more candidates that Chicago has lined up - Lakers assistant Brian Shaw and Boston Celtics assistant Tom Thibodeau. Suns General Manager Steve Kerr and Vice President of Basketball Operations David Griffin interviewed Rockets assistant Elston Turner on Wednesday and will interview Hornacek today and Corbin on Friday. The Suns' only other known interviews were with Jackson and Pistons assistant Terry Porter.

Does the coach in the NBA matter that much?

No Avery Johnson any where?

The more you think about it, the Suns are really in trouble.
Look at the changes:
Colangelo out as GM, Kerr in
Marion trade for Shaq
D'Antoni gone, looking at asst Coaches for replacement

this is not good, where is the upgrade?

Whoever gets to coach the Bulls will be very lucky, the Suns not so much.

Are you kidding, throw a bunch of primadonnas on the floor at the same time without a good coach and you get the Knicks. A great coach provides us with the Spurs, Detroit, Utah, NO... Good coaches are he reason why we don't see LeBron and Kobe in the finals every year. Kobe 67 Lebron 65.

Cuban is probably paying off the other owners to not hire AJ. He's afraid everyone will realize the Mavs mistake in letting AJ go when he takes a team with heart to the finals (and wins).

No, no, no !!! The report is wrong. They are chasing Isiah Thomas !!!

___________

Hard to say, this year you'll have one coach that's never won anything and one with nine rings in the finals. Next year, you'll have one coach that may or may not have ever won anything and one with ten rings in the finals. So, your question is a good one.

no one wants a coach that throws their whole organization under a bus after they leave

Prophetic! Named the four clubs that are going to lose to the Lakers this year. Two down, two to go!

CORRECTION: Three of the four clubs you named will lose to the Lakers. The other (NO) just got knocked out of first in the Western Conference by the Lakers.

Boston vs Lakers

May 23, 2008  03:28 PM ET

Here is an old classic.

An elementary teacher starts her new job in Boston. She wants to make a good impression on her first day so she explains to the class that she's a Celtics fan. She asks her class to raise their hands if they are Celtic fans too. Everyone does except one little girl, Mary. The teacher says: "Mary, why didn't you raise your hand?" Mary says: " because I am a Spurs fan." The teacher said "Mary, why are you a Spurs fan?" Mary replied, "because my mommy and daddy are Spurs fans." This really surprised the teacher, who told Mary, " you don't have to be just like your mom and dad all of the time. What if your mom was a prostitute and your dad was a drug addict? What would you be then? Mary said, "I'd be a Laker fan."

I guess 'Man Law' only applies when you think you're team is going to win, not after they get the wind knocked out of their sails.

However, this punchline was changed by CRA! It actually ended when the teacher asked Mary why she was a Spurs fan and Mary replied, "Because my Dad and Mom are Brother and Sister!"

The ML applies to heated debate not harmless ribbing.

I think AJ = Texasmade! It explains his love of the Spurs and the Texas Triangle. It also explains his current MIA status.

May 23, 2008  03:51 PM ET

It's all good! Good luck tonight!

Seriously....why is no team talking to Avery Johnson?
