I disagree. I believe I would have reacted the same way as Hope Solo did over the most boneheaded decision a coach has ever made. If she's being shunned, she can always give me a call,wink,wink.

I hear that, You don't put in a new goalie that hasn't played in months in becuase of a record years ago. But Hope should have kept her mouth shut as well. Either way, Hope sweety, I'll show you some love.

What a self-righteous bunch of hypocrites. I don't understand how they can't forgive her after all this time. In such a pressure-packed situation to ask her to just shut up about it is asking her to go against human nature. Brazil was too good for them anyway no matter who would have been in goal. Instead of focusing on the jacked-up situation the coach put Solo in, they instead focus on her for not acting like she wasn't dying to do her job. THEY should have been plssed off with her because it was a foul thing for a big-time soccer coach to do. Bottom line.

And they never should have let her get close to a microphone and camera because they knew she was livid when the announcement was made to the team.

I think Solo is the one who is right. Scurry played like trash that game. Probably the reason she was riding bench the whole world cup. Im just saying the girl was extremely upset because she was pulled in the biggest game of her life. I mean WTF thats like benching Kobe in the Finals because MJ is on the bench and played great in the Finals. Bet Kobe gets pissed and says something. Id say Solo is the only real athlete on the team. I love it how everyone talks trash saying she should have kept quiet and such......right. Just like it was stated earlier, if your star player for your favorite team is benched (say Kobe in NBA Finals, Manning in the Super Bowl, ARod in the World Series) for an older vet based on how they have done in the PAST, do you think they would keep quiet? HA! And you are going to sit here and say you wouldn't back them up when they talk crap? Please. Be real here, Ryan was a *****ng **** to bench her, he should've gotten ALL the heat, not Solo. She is by far the best keep out there in the women's game. That is why she continues to start for the #1 womens team in the world in games that matter.

And for her teammates to criticize her for bringing unnecessary distractions to the team, they are idiots too. GREG RYAN was the one that brought the distraction when he decided to start Scurry instead of his star Hope Solo. Way to stick up for your idiot coach that is no longer around. And gee why is that? I can only imagine....

If her teammates are still bitter, that's there problem. The coach messed up, Solo called him on it and that's that. Perhaps she was un-diplomatic but she didn't do anything wrong by saying what she did.

If she's frozen out of US soccer, I think she should take out Canadian citizenship and play for Canada. I might actually watch women's soccer then.

Typical women. Not able to handle a situation professionally. Men wouldn't act half as stupid. If some guy in a team says something offensive, it is forgotten a week later. But women have their 'feelings hurt'. F* that! Pro sport is not about feelings. This is one of the many reasons a lot of men don't take women sports seriously.

The sad thing about this whole situation is... the players were swearing up and down all the time you heard from them was how much of a family they were. If that were the case, they would have intervened when Daddy Coach Ryan decided to break up the family, instead of dis owning her. The US will fail miserably because of all of this, and they can't blame anybody except themselves and Coach Ryan. Solo clearly got screwed over in this circumstance

sure there is some lineage and rule somewhere that would let her play for another country..... It might give them a little Hope with her in the net.
