Some markets won't see Elite XC

Fans of CBS' controversial extreme fighting show, "Elite XC," are discovering that not every station in the country is carrying the series when it debuts Saturday night. Ads for the show appearing over the weekend in local newspapers warned "This program will not be seen in this area," lighting up message boards around the Internet. Fans in Pennsylvania were among the first to complain that the show was being blacked out there. "Elite XC" (the XC stands for "extreme combat") will be the first time that mixed-martial arts - a form of fighting that is outlawed in several states but whose popularity is growing fast - will air on broadcast TV.

That's a good way to alienate fans, sponsors and EXC. Maybe it was smart for the UFC to skip out on this "deal." Dana is too savvy a businessman to get caught up in blackouts.
