I hate Detroit but I hate Pittsburgh even more. Whatever it takes for Detroit to sweep the NHL favored (and handled with kid gloves) Pens is alright with me.

This is just another case of the league trying to cater to Cindy and the Pens. Too bad the league cant score a goal for the Pens and at least get them on the board for once. I love that the Pens are getting completely destroyed.

I think anyone that gets involved with the goalie is getting called, which is why Osgood was flopping whenever someone went near him last night. The conspiracy against Holmstrom and the Wings is a load of bull...

Yeah for everyone that was on Crosby for diving or embelishment, that was quite a display Osgood put on last night.

Is this way for the Wings to play the "us against the world" card? I'm sure Brett Hull is laughing his @$.$ off while Sabres' fans seeth.

You know, I don't know how I feel about this. On one hand, its my team, and this guy has been robbed of a couple goals now that were the real deal. On the other hand, I find it hard to believe the league would target a player like Holmstrom in a Playoff Final Series. I also find it hard to believe the NHL put a conspiracy in place to get the Pens to the Finals.

The one thing I WILL say though, is that unlike what we saw in the Pens/Flyers series, you aren't seeing Wings fans on here losing their minds about the "NHL's conspiracy to get the Penguins a Cup". Anybody else notice that? An excuse for the Flyers is a rallying cry for the Red Wings. Weird

Lets just hope it was too bad calls (weren't they mad by the same guy?) and not some league wide conspiracy. The wings are too good for excuses.

What was more alarming is how much Pitt players play and hit like chicken ****. Hitting a guy who was out with a concussion for two weeks directly in the head? And honestly, if you need to knock over the opposing goalie when you have no chance to win anymore to get fired up for the next game, something is wrong.

The League is out to get Holstrom...perhaps but inconclusive. However I liked the adjustment Holstrom made last night...By scoring from BEHIND the net. Now if scoring from there is called back...I'm going to be suspicious.

And goCan, to be fair the Flyers were down 0-3 while the Wings are up 2-0. If they were down you'd likely see some come out of the woodwork to complain. Still probably not as much as the Flyers though, I'll give you that. By the way, when you gonna change that pic? I don't know what the bet was but do you have to keep that logo the whole finals?

The abuse Holmstrom gets by being in front of the net should be called if the interference is called. Why is it ok for a goalie to whack and slash this MAN, but Holmstom doesn't even touch the goalie and gets called. Guess the Pen's didn't see that part of it.

Homeys and gamer, and this won't keep him down. He'll just keep playing his game and doing what he has to do to help his team win.

I disagree joefordproud. Both should be no calls. Holmstrom knows the abuse that is coming his way for getting up near the crease, and welcomes it. I don't think any of this matters right now though. The Penguins are so mentally defeated that they are playing no where near their potential. The Wings have done an excellent job of taking the wind out of the sails of this young and talented team.

Time to get these crazed Flyerrs fans stirred up again. I was writing too fast on Friday when I said Philly ought to shop Umberger along with Briere and Hatcher. I meant Knuble. If you're content with contending for the Prince of Wales trophy then keep the team intact. If it's the Cup you want, then those 3 will have to go; this current Finals series ought to make that perfectly clear. Briere is shifty and he's good on the power play but he's small and he's 30 and not about to keep up with anything like Detroit or as was made evident in the Fianl Four, even Pittsburgh.
And be in denial, but the Caps will be trouble for you next year. Look for Semin ( and Nik Backstom too while you're at it ) to have a break out year and he and Ovechkin will be a killer 1-2 combo ( were you paying attention to what happened at the World Hockey Championships?? Speed and power to go along with superb stick handling and passing skills.) With Kozlov and Nylander provding better playmaking, our forwards are going to sail right by everyone you've got, save Timmonen who is truly great.
Even with Gagne back and helathy, Philly better go for youth and more speed or they'll be best viewed from the Caps rear view mirror. Adios amigos!
- And concerning that ignorant comment on Caps fans, you can practically hear the sucking sound coming from the Wachovia Center from the huge vaccum created by Philly fans rushing prematurely to the exits every time the Flyers look to be losing beyond hope. It's easy to be loud when you're winning, EVERY team in the NHL has fans like that. Maybe Philly has just gotten too used to having heartbreak teams.....

Nah, Im not sore at all. My boys did better than I expected and were injured against the Pens. Im happy that the Pens are getting exposed though and all Cindy's crying wont do anything to help them win.

Seabird56, you arent able to get anyone stirred up if you cant make sense with what you say. You're basing everything you said off of your opinion and the only fact you can cite is someone's age? You need to do a little more research and know more about hockey if you want to "stir up" people.
