"New Orleans Saints defensive end Charles Grant posted US$10,000 bond Thursday after his indictment on an involuntary manslaughter charge stemming from a February nightclub fight in which a woman died.

.Grant was stabbed in the neck during the Feb. 3 fight. He was charged by a grand jury that also charged Laquient Macklin with felony murder and killing a fetus in the shooting death of Korynda Reed, 23. Reed, who was pregnant, died after being taken to the Southeast Alabama Medical Center in Dothan.

Tolley said Grant and Macklin had gone to Pokey's club in Blakely, not far from the player's hometown of Colquitt, and "somehow got entangled in the fight." Tolley said Grant didn't shoot a gun and didn't have a gun."

Man...when will these guys learn? They need to stay out of nightclubs. Being a professional athlete invites a target. Too many people want to test their nuts.

I don't get someone being charged with killing the unborn fetus. Abortions take place every day. We don't charge the doctors. Just another aspect of our justice system geared toward punishing men.

I thought a determination of guilt or innocence was the responsibility of the criminal justice system - silly me!

What the hell is Korynda (nice name, btw) doing in a night club when she is pregnant? She is showing her lack of parenting acumen at a very early stage. Let's take my unborn child to a place where there will be lots of drunk people, blunt smoke in the air...and guns!!!!

The state should have her tubs tied off because she does not need to download a bunch of kids since parenting doesn't seem to be her strong suit

Yeah, but Korynda's dead. As cruel as this sounds, Darwinism took over.

Grant didn't pull the trigger. He may skate on the criminal charges, but the criminal case softens him up for a huge civil suit. Maybe he shouldtalk to Ray Lewis for advice on how to handle the situation.

Thats a bit harsh isnt it ? Why shouldnt she go out ? She's supposed to stay barefoot and pregnant in the kitchen right? Woman didnt know her place?
Its HER fault she was gunned down because if she hadnt been there to begin with this wouldnt have happened?

Not all nightclubs have "guns" - and if she wasnt drinking, then who cares how many drunks are there? as for the smoke, smoking is banned in most states in public places like restaurants and nite clubs... not sure if this state bans it but even if they don't, she could easily get the same second hand smoke from a 5 star restaurant.

as for the tubes tied thing, well, bit late for that now isnt it.

If youre pregnant, you should not be at the club. But still, it doesnt excuse what happened to her
