Owens to Raiders in 2009?

The Raiders and Terrell Owens, a match made in ... 2009? It could happen. It could not. But let's delve into the possibility of merging the NFL's most notorious wide receiver with the Raiders' future cornerstones, quarterback JaMarcus Russell and running back Darren McFadden. That would be a potent cocktail of offensive talent, and perhaps that could entice Owens into a Bay Area encore, having fled the 49ers in 2004 after eight seasons. So why bring this up now? Because his three-year contract -- and three-step career revival -- with the Dallas Cowboys ends after this coming season.

Wishful thinking - TO is not going anywhere.

May 27, 2008  08:21 AM ET

On a scale of 1 to me not caring...I really don't care what TO does or where TO goes.

As a Raider fan, I would take the current version of T.O. in a heartbeat. But with a franchise controlled by Al Davis, there is no way the front office is capable of doing anything right - like forming an offense with potential this would have.

I'd speculate it's a newspaper run by Ollie North but, unfortunately, there isn't a "shred" of evidence to support that. HA! I slay me.

What a non-story. They forgot that Terrell like to win and the Raiders don't do that - just ask Randy Moss. Some Dumb*** reporter trying to make trouble where it doesn't exist. I can't believe SI published it, I expect more from them.

HA! (cubed)

Yeah, this is a bit of a stretch. We all know Jerry Jones aint afraid to throw around the $$$, and TO is seemingly happy in Dallas.
