Guillen rips Royals 'babies'

Veteran outfielder Jose Guillen snapped Wednesday night -- somebody had to, didn't they? -- after the Royals extended their losing streak to 10 games in stunning fashion by allowing a five-run lead to slip away in the ninth inning. "Too many babies in here," Guillen fumed afterward in an otherwise hushed clubhouse. "They don't know how to play the game and how to win games. That's the problem here. Now I know why this organization has been losing for a while. Now I know. It doesn't have anything to do with our manager. He cares more than anyone."

Um, it's great and all that Jose is trying to 'motivate' his team, but isn't he one of the most in-to-himself players out there. He obviously doesn't care about a successful career - as he showed by signing with the Royals.

This kind of thing should be done in the clubhouse. Be a leader in there and you won't have to do it out on the street.

Well, I guess the Royals hit the NOx a little too soon in their season.

Jose must have taken the Tony Pena Course on Season Preductions.....

"WE WILL WIN THE CENTRAL DIVISION!!!!!!!"

Tony Pena circa 2003

For those of you playing along at home...The Royals DID NOT win the division in '03...and Pena was summarily shytcanned

what a poor excuse for a franchise, i believe there is about 10 to 15 college teams that can beat the royals on any given day . they have not had a good season or player in what 20 years ? No wonder there are so many A.L teams with great records...
