Tuberville 'salutes' Crimson Tide

Even in the Middle East, Tommy Tuberville couldn't resist a playful poke at rival Alabama's six-year losing streak to his Auburn teams. This time it was the seven-finger salute. Tuberville made the gesture after helping coach U.S. military personnel to a victory in a 7-on-7 flag football game during a goodwill tour to the Middle East. In fairness, he did have a little encouragement. "There were SEC guys on both teams," Tuberville told The Birmingham News at the Southeastern Conference meetings Tuesday. "They said, 'Hold up seven fingers, coach.' Anything to get a laugh." The gesture might have drawn the ire of some Crimson Tide fans, but not all of them.

Richt could hold up seven fingers also from his in-state rivalry record, but I doubt there were many yellow jackets or ACC people there besides Randy Shannon.

Bama is hurting lately, but Mr. Saban should at least be able to make them competitive in the SEC again. And, for the record, that was tough for me to admit. :-)

I think that it's awesome that he and Richt went to the war zone. When I was there John Elway, Robin Williams, Farmer Fred from the Water Boy, Rascal Flats, and Toby Keith came to see the soldiers.

I have been a Tide soldier' my entire life. I bleed crimson. The last few years have been heartbreaking inso far as, - your champion fighter on the mat' referee giving the count. the fighter unable to stand.
I feel a low rumbling. like the rumbling you feel in the stadium- packed with crimson fans. the team- rushes out of the tunnel onto the field.
THE TIDE IS RUMBLIN' in tuscaloosa.
the people of this state feel the rumbling, under their breath, behind clinched lips.
the tide is back.
ROLLLLLLLLL TIDE ROLLL.
God bless the crimson and white

Of course LSU and Alabama are going to sympathize with each other. Saban has had both their fans hypnotized. I'ts like the second coming of christ.

I'm not sympathizing - Alabama lost to UL-Monroe
