Penn State's Maryland haul in football continues. The Nittany Lions secured oral commitments from Sean Stanley, a defensive end from Gaithersburg, Md., and Brandon Felder, a wide receiver from Oxon Hill, Md., on Tuesday, according to the Web site fightonstate.com. The additions give Penn State six commitments from Maryland recruits and 11 pledges from the Class of 2009 overall. Stanley, at 6-foot-2 and 255 pounds, is a four-star prospect, according to Scout.com, and had 17 scholarship offers. The 6-3, 165-pound Felder chose the Lions over Syracuse, Boston College and Maryland. Assistant coach Larry Johnson recruited both players.

I know youze from PA and all, but I am still shocked at your blatant stupidity.

May 29, 2008  12:05 PM ET

How the **** is this guy still alive? I swear he can't possibly be breathing. Probably being propped up by some overzealous PSU dopes who can't learn to let go.

Newsflash: Paterno's relevance is only matched by PSU lack of relevance on the national stage. Linebacker U my ****!

He's being propped up "Weekend at Bernie's" style, like Bobby Bowden and the pope.

If they ever make another American Pie movie, they can get Joe Pa to play Jim's grandpa.

May 29, 2008  12:07 PM ET

Field Marshall - we practically put a LB in the NFL every year. JoePa jokes are older than he is, new material please.

May 29, 2008  12:10 PM ET

Truth - Michigan recylced it's entire program and that didn't happen because they were awesome. It's also possible that the end result could be a disaster so you should keep your smack to yourself.

May 29, 2008  12:12 PM ET

You should be more concerned with RR than JoePas age.

You asked for it. The Nittany Lions are going to be national champs this season. Hell, I couldn't keep a straight face on that one.

Now, you see, normally I'd defend Coach Bowden (and JoePa), but this is actually funny. If you're going to knock someone, at least be funny. Some may even argue that our offense has been playing "Season at Bernie's" for a few years now. I wouldn't, mind you, but some might...
