DT recruit commits to Texas

Hoxie (Ark.) DT Derek Johnson has orally committed to play for Texas, according to an Arkansas television station. Rivals.com, which has Johnson as the Horns' 19th nonbinding oral commitment in this class, does not consider the 6-3, 290-pounder a four- or five-star recruit. (UT has 10 four-stars and one five-star on its commitment list.) But I figure the kid is destined to succeed at Texas, since the Horns had a star LB with the same name, even if the spelling is a little different.

That has GOT to be the dumbest logic I've heard since hearing Sen. Clinton yesterday. This kid is okay, but just because he has the same name pronounced as one of Texas' great LBs, he's destined to shine. It's a good joke.

Ouch that has got to hurt. The Razorbacks definitely missed out on a homegrown prospect here. You have to wonder if it is because of the situation there with Petrino who is coaching at his thrid school in three years.
