Boston's CFL comeback slowed

David Boston hadn't so much as touched a regulation CFL football and already he was a casualty. But with all that Boston has brought upon himself since he led the NFL in receiving in 2001, a minor foot injury won't knock the 6-foot-1, 232-pound wide receiver for a loop. The Argos are keeping their fingers crossed that Boston turns out to be a better reclamation project than Ricky Williams. Boston totalled 1,598 years seven years ago with the Cardinals, but has not made a major impact since. He has created headlines all right, but for a naughty list of off-the-field woes that includes a four-game suspension in 2004 for testing positive for steroids, a couple of major knee injuries and an arrest last year in Florida for driving under the influence.

boston was solid when he's healthy. but he's rarely healthy.

Shouldn't have been pumping all those steroi -- I mean pumping all that iron. He was much quicker when he was skinny back at OSU.

Wow, I wouldn't have guessed that this guy was still trying to play......

The CFL mentioned in the NFL? The only claim to fame the CFL has is that "their balls are bigger!" LOL!

The CFL is a lot easier place for WRs than for RBs...I'm sure he'll do fine. Especially considering typical CFL offenses throw 70% of the time

We loved David Boston here in AZ. But what a jerk he turned out to be. Good luck CFL.

I hate to say it but he was a fluke. One really good year and a lot of issues. This will be his legacy unless he can make a name for himself in the CFL.

way too muscular for receiver....move him to tight end

Got to wonder about the down side of those steroids. They may have given him more mass than his bone structure could handle.

Wow. I wasnt aware he was playing since the middle ages. No wonder his tank is empty.

thought he wanted to be a body builder. he is an injury waiting to happen.
