Does Beasley have fatal flaw?
The one trait that might be most threatening to Michael Beasley's draft status can't be properly gauged at the NBA's predraft camp. The dreaded ''character'' tests are normally administered when you are least aware. In Beasley's case, they were happening during his midteens, when he was just old enough to matter in the sports world and just young enough to make the most immature mistakes. Who knew that dead-rat-in-the-teacher's-desk prank was going to come back and bite him this late in the game? There were more, of course. The graffiti contest with Ty Lawson at Oak Hill Academy was particularly noteworthy, with the piece de resistance being the ''mb-easy'' tag on the headmaster's car that got him booted from the prep school. How does seven high schools in five states over five short years translate to the NBA? Probably doesn't. Amare Stoudemire didn't let a similar resume keep him from winning Rookie of the Year as a 20-year-old.

the NBA doesn't give a hoot about 'character' -- if it did, Kobe wouldn't be MVP -- all the NBA wants to know is, is he black? can he score? can he be tattooed?

yeah i doubt people care about his character only if he's going to tear up the nba and/or do something completely scandalous

He might drop down one or two picks because of his 'character'. That doesn't exactly qualify as a fatal flaw.

Your comment is so far from the truth and you're so far from living in reality. Whistle "Dixie" and quit watching, NASCAR awaits you.

If you guys want to get the real scoop on Beasley, read this article: http://www.kansas.com/248/story/421117.html. This article is better than most, but they still have it wrong. He was never booted from any school, and when a journalist actually does his research and contacts old coaches/teachers, you'll find everyone has enjoyed being around him. Read the attatched article to see the real Beasley.
