Giants shopping relievers
The trade market might be materializing a little earlier than normal this year and the Giants are actively shopping several players, according to sources. But not the names you'd expect. The Giants have informed other clubs that relievers Tyler Walker, Jack Taschner and Vinnie Chulk are available in fair-value deals. The club also is soliciting offers for Erick Threets and Brad Hennessey, who is starting for Triple-A Fresno. Closer Brian Wilson is not among the players the Giants are keen on moving.

The Giants shopping relievers is like going to a yard sale, seeing something and offering ten cents for some old useless piece of junk !!!

As as longtime Giant's fan,I feel like I'm getting jipped. I went today & watched the hapless Giant's lose 6-1 to the Padres. The sad thing is that there were 5 rookies in the starting line-up. 6 if you include Fred (3-k) Lewis. It was un-inspired baseball & I still had to pay $60 ea for seats + another $30 for the ferry ride from Marin. It's an insult to knowingly be taken advantage of by the slick shysters that run this franchise. As the fans around me huddled up around the 7th inning to compare notes, the consensus was to back up a bus, load up about 8 rookies + 5 pitchers + the GM, and drive south to Fresno to deposit them back in the minor leagues, where they belong.

And further-more, The Giant's big-wigs should start concentrating more on the ball-club in lieu of real estate ventures in the South Beach area of S.F. Are you listening Mr. Baer ?

What you see in today's Giants team is a direct result of keeping Barry Bonds too long, and paying him waaaay too much. Instead of being intelligent and building there farm system with hitters, all they have are pitchers, and even they are going other places with nothing in return. Now their trying to unload Walker, Chulk, Taschner & Hennessey??? Why the @#$%^&* did you sign them in the first place?? Obviously they were someone else's headache before!!!!! I say dump Baer (Magowan took his money and ran), clean house of all the talentless players, and eat cr** for a while while reloading & retooling the organization top to bottom.

What is all this crying about? Seriously we all know the Giants are rebuilding and are finding some nice talent on a major league level. Eight games out of first place and so called Giant fans are ready to flush these guys down the toilet? Its called growing pains and from what I see is a team growing into a very good team that if you hadn't been paying attention and from what i've been reading most of you haven't the so called favorites in the national league do not like to playing these young Giants!

although it's true the giants are going nowhere this year, i think watching them is exciting. i think there is a lot of young talent, and although their inexperience is evident now, eventually many of them will grow into themselves. Tim Lincecum is a potential all-star pitcher this season and has been lights-out. Barry Zito is pitching better (still a big question mark though)
Nonetheless, Tyler Walker is a complete loser and needs to go away. NOW.
