Bengal tackles Travel Channel show

Rewind five months: The Bengals' season ends, and players disperse. Some retreat to their hometowns to spend time with family. Others continue training. Some do little at all. Then there's Dhani Jones, whose life rarely endures a dull moment. The linebacker - known for his football prowess as well as his Five Star Ties line and artistic interests - outdid himself this offseason by expanding his athletic resume. He learned rugby and hurling. Jones filmed segments for an upcoming Travel Channel show called "Dhani Tackles the Globe." The premise of the show, Jones said, is for him to "travel around and play different sports in different countries."

the real story here, a LB that only registered 59 tackles is replacing one who registered 106. if T&R really wanted a recent bengals story, Doug Gabriel being cut after 2 months on the team is more of a story than Jones plays other sports in his spare time.

if not for the odell mess to save a buck, jones wouldn't even be a starter.

After watching him play for the Giants for a few years, I never thought he would still be in the NFL.
That is the real story here. How is this guy still a starter?

What's with the picture?

June 1, 2008  02:01 PM ET

It's his passport photo I think

Too bad he can't tackle anything else. Good riddance...him and that stupid banjo can move to Egypt. Wait, nevermind, he's not on the Eagles anymore...let him ruin some other teams defense.

"Dhani tackles the Ohio Work Release Program" This way he can stay in touch with his old team mates!

Dhani looks like he has a golf ball teed up on his head. Either that or a space modulator.

That 'thing' above and behind his head is the travel channel logo, but I'm sure you all knew that.

I just assumes it was his sporty new aerodynamic hairstyle

June 1, 2008  09:39 PM ET

I think he is really a "pretty boy" - could be a full-time actor !!!

June 2, 2008  12:40 AM ET

he has to try other sports because he sucks at football

Might be an upswing for the Bengals, first time they have a positive headline.Things are going to change,Once they get rid of Johnson and Hoshman...

Maybe he'll find a sport that he's actually good at! This guy stinks at LB and tries to protray himself as being a "brilliant" person. Just because you write poetry (which probably stinks) play musical instruments and wear bow-ties doesnt mean you are smart. He went to Michigan on a football scholorship for godssake...
