Is Rasheed done in Detroit?
Pistons president Joe Dumars was not upset with Rasheed Wallace last season when he exited Game 6 against Cleveland with a tirade against the refs. That game was lost anyhow. And Wallace had been the only consistently good Piston all series. But it was a different Wallace who left the Palace floor Friday night, muted, tepid, totally outplayed by Boston's big men, Kevin Garnett and young Kendrick Perkins. Things run their course. The fans are weary of The Rasheed Show, the media are weary of it, too, but most significantly, Wallace, who will be 34 next season, has one year left on his contract, which makes this the perfect time to trade him and the worst time to keep him, if you don't want him around long-term.

Trade him, and either rip or tay, and a draft pick, for a premier big man (ie. Brand, Amare). Ironically, because of the angst among other perennial playoff teams like Dallas and Suns, playoff teams may be the best trading partners.

sheed would be an excellent pickup........a bit of an underachiever but freakish skills when his head is in the game.

can't invest anything significant in an aging head-case.
His stats this year are 12ppg & 6rbs........
both BELOW his modest career 15, 7 stats.
If he wants to stay for a major reduction in salary- then fine.
Otherwise- thanks for helping win a title- bye

Agreed!! When he is focus he is a monster. I don't think the Pistons use him on the blocks enough.

lol, another disgruntled spurs fan. deal with it. your team lost. they'll still a great team and will be contending again next year so i think the subtle hint in your comment that there's some fix involved is ridiculous.

As ridicoulous as it may seem I have reason to believe that a gambling ref was not and is not the tip of the ice berg and not to say that the Spurs were given some calls ithey shouldnt, but if you would humor me for a minute lets take a look at the NFL there atre missed calls every now and then but offsides is offsides. roughinf the passer is roughing the passer and etc...You get to the NBA and there are so many variations to the calls that is not funny. Superstars get spared teams get screwed over . I do believe the NBA has some shadiness to it. Why would ratings need to play a part in anything this is basketball not One life to live.As far as the Spurs losing I a have dealt with it The Spurs were there worst enemy this season with there inability to hold on to a lead or come out swinging after halftime. So unless you have a better reason as to why the NBA is not fixed spare me your words.

I do believe that the playoffs are fixed, but not all the way through. I think the league saw that Boston and LA were advancing and thought it would be cool to make them get to the Finals to relieve the heyday of both teams. Prepare to see the legends from both squads come out and do promotional commercials before each game. Yawn.

i'm not saying there is no shadiness involved, but the degree to which you claim i think is inaccurate. i can see if the lakers and celtics were both 4th, 5th or 6th seeds or lower, then i would probably agree with you a lot more, but they were both 1st place teams and played great all season. i have a hard time believing there was a fix involved. and you are right that the league is happy about having the celtics/lakers final due to the ratings it will draw, i just haven't seen any substantial evidence that says it was fixed. i mean the spurs lost 4-1 and if the league wanted to 'fix' the playoffs don't you think the suns would have beat the spurs last year? i'm sure a phoenix/cleveland series would have drawn higher ratings.

and i suppose if it is fixed, then the spurs didn't really win last year either, after all it was fixed right? and the league wanted them to win. they clearly weren't the best team. ;)

Rasheed is useful. It would help if the NBA would get rid of its technical foul policy with suspensions.
