LSU Athletic Director and former baseball Coach Skip Bertman was "resting comfortably" in the hospital after suffering a heart attack at his home Saturday, senior associate athletic director Herb Vincent said. Bertman, 70, experienced discomfort while at his home in Baton Rouge and chose to go to the hospital, according to a statement read by Vincent after LSU's 13-4 victory against Southern Miss in the NCAA regional Saturday night.

This story was released like 2 or 3 days ago and this site is just now getting around to it.

Get well Skip. I believe he is back home resting now thankfully.

Skip had a stent placed and should be home this evening. He is the greatest collge baseball coach in the last 20yrs. He won 5 National Championships since the early nineties. His heart probably couldn't take LSU winning 23 straight and advancing to the Super Regional. One things for sure, he'll be at Alex Box this weekend for the Super Regional.
