Starting Patriots offensive lineman Nicholas Kaczur was arrested in April on a charge of illegal possession of prescription painkillers and then secretly cooperated with the federal Drug Enforcement Administration in a sting operation that resulted in the indictment of his alleged drug supplier, according to a lawyer and two people briefed on the investigation. Kaczur - a 28-year-old, 315-pound offensive tackle - wore a hidden recording device during three different drug transactions in May at gas stations in Foxborough and North Attleborough and a supermarket parking lot. Kaczur, approached yesterday afternoon by a Globe reporter as he stood on the front porch of his Attleboro home, denied participating in a DEA investigation or buying drugs.

I am not a Pats supporter but this would happen to about 90% of the players in the NFL. I took pain killers in High School.......That's just part of a Football players life.

Unlike others, I'll wait to see more information

You have to forgive him for the painkillers, that was a tough loss to take..

June 4, 2008  06:57 AM ET

so he turned narc and someone leaked this? he's going to hear footsteps for a long time.

June 4, 2008  08:10 AM ET

I see a pattern. Two Cowboy threads yesterday with people complaining that there wasn't any Patriots threads. Two Pats threads today.

Dang 50year, that's beneath you.

June 4, 2008  08:14 AM ET

so if he denies it, then where did the Globe get its info?

Mississippi Queen, If you know what I mean
Mississippi Queen, She taught me everything
Way down around Vicksburg, Around Louisiana way
Lived a cajun lady, we called her Mississippi Queen
You know she was a dancer
She moved better on wine

While the rest of them dudes were'a gettin' their kicks,
Buddy, beg your pardon, I was getting mine!

Mississippi Queen, If you know what I mean
Mississippi Queen, She taught me everything
This lady she asked me, If I would be her man
You know that I told her, I'd do what I can
To keep her looking pretty
Buy her dresses that shine

While the rest of them dudes were making their bread
Buddy, beg your pardon, I was losing mine!

You know she was a dancer
She moved better on wine

While the rest of them dudes were'a gettin' their kicks,
Brotha, beg your pardon, now I'm getting mine!

Yeeeaaaaah, Mississippi Queen!

June 4, 2008  09:07 AM ET

theres more to this story.. doesnt make sense..
one person does not take 100 oxycontins in 3 days. He'd be dead.
and where does an "innocent fan of the Patriots, enamored with being a friend of a Patriot player allegedly married, suburban father of twins get 100 ocycontins?

and oxycodone is percocet isnt it ? oxycontin is a pill form of morphine I thought ?

June 4, 2008  09:14 AM ET

first, I would not wipe my arse with the boston globe...

secondly, you build up a tolerance to any type of dope (i.e. narcotic), and because of that fact, large doses are possible and common...

June 4, 2008  09:17 AM ET

what is it with these patriots secretly recording people???

June 4, 2008  09:21 AM ET

My Hooronna!! ..Actually, I don't care about any of this story, the Yankees are killing me. The knicks tortured me all winter. I just want football to start...

Yeah,

Legend but hopefully they were legal (prescribed) to you. There is a reason for not letting people have an unlimited supply of pain-killer (addiction).
