Doug Collins expects to know by this weekend whether he has the Bulls' coaching job he so covets, sources close to Collins said Wednesday. Club chairman Jerry Reinsdorf fired Collins after the intense coach took the Bulls to the 1989 Eastern Conference finals but has maintained a strong friendship with Collins. Sources close to Collins said he's under the impression Reinsdorf, mindful of the way their first business relationship ended, is pausing to make sure their friendship could endure another business association. Collins, who openly has shared his excitement about the job with confidantes, is said to be willing to take that risk.

Flip Saunders? What has Flip done? He manages good teams and doesn't really imrpove them. The Bulls need a coach who can build team chemistry.

Haha. What has Isiah done as coach/president? Let's see, he did nothing for the Raptors, nothing in Indy and was worse in NY. It's a tough one, but I think Reinsdorf will pass!!!

Not as farfecthed as it sounds.

If the Bulls can hire Hitman Dennis Rodman (who tried to kill Pippen), they can hire Isiah. But they wont because today, everyone believes Isiah sucks as a coach.

I agree, I think Isiah did a lousy job coaching NY. He should have fired himself long before Dolan fired him.
