I've heard some Wizards talk about this phenomenon, arguing that for buzz alone there's no chance the franchise lets Gilbert Arenas go in free agency. In an interview with Comcast SportsyNet, Roger Mason Jr. said that explicitly. "He'll be here," Mason said. "No question about it. There's no doubt. I'm 100 percent sure that he'll be here."

"No question about it. There's no doubt. I'm 100 percent sure that he'll be here."

That's means you should not bet anything worthwhile on it. Who the hell is Roger Mason Jr? Has he suddenly become Gilbert's personal manager?

June 5, 2008  10:47 AM ET

Roger Mason Jr. shouldn't be spreading this message. Anyway, I'm not an Arenas fan. He doesn't make that team any better.

June 5, 2008  11:04 AM ET

He's as sure as Dorsey was about the draft.

That being said-
I think he'ss stay-
They have a good core in DC......and I'm actually surprised they haven't achieved more over the last few years

Agreed, hopefully there will be no more excuses when the season starts anew.

Home awaits!!!

The last time the Wizards had all of our Big Three healthy playing together, we were number 1 in the East. I dont see the reason to break that up. The Wizards are better without and injured Arenas, however, with a healthy Gil, they're Finals bound.

June 5, 2008  11:42 AM ET

He's probably going to stay but the real question is will he take a pay cut so they can keep Antawn Jamison or do the Wizars just go crazy over the cap keping them both?

June 5, 2008  12:17 PM ET

Just like Wade, Arenas still has a lot to offer to the team even though he is injury prone. It would be foolish for the wizards to get rid of him.

June 5, 2008  12:17 PM ET

I wonder what roster moves Roger Mason Jr. has in mind for the Wizards this off season.

June 5, 2008  12:29 PM ET

If wizards can pull of a trade to get a marcos camby or a AK47 they would be in a good position to make a strong run in the East

June 5, 2008  01:17 PM ET

if this ass wants to lose let him

June 5, 2008  01:50 PM ET

so he is staying, but will he get lower pay so the team can keep the rest of their cast in jamison and so on
