wow...that sucks...he sucks. he knows he won't get a deal like that anywhere else since he's been an injury waiting to happen for the past few years. wonder what will hurt him this year? putting his earring in his ear will cause a pinched nerve. no one's going to pick up his contract. his scoring is down and he's injured too often.

He'll be traded but Indiana will have to keep paying close to half his salary.

It is a smart move on O'Neal's part. No way would a team be willing to give him a $22 million per year deal these days.

The beauty of it is if they can't trade him then they can cut him to avoid the luxury tax - much the same way that the Mavs did with Finley. But you know Bird wants to get something for him.

No they aren't both stuck. O'Neal has a guaranteed $44 million. The Pacers are stuck because they can't trade him.

He will most likely be a cav, since szcerbiak and Snow both have expering contracts which equal around 19 million.

over paid for potental. max player deal for a average skilled player. no wonder teams have a hard time getting better.

Trade him for 20 basketballs. That one guy in the minor leagues got traded for 10 bats worth $650.

I would not leave 44M or 22m/yr

buts its sad that players get contracts like that and are scared to give them up because their circumstances. Point: stop being injured all the time. everything is an injury to him. go to a specialist and see how he can makes his bones stronger...lift more weights. work on his agility. sad thing is he won't give up the money because he knows: he's always injured and no one wants him for that reason unless they pay him much less...and he knows his skills aren't as good as he faked. arenas injured for a whole season believes in himself enough to still opt out because he really believes he has skills. losers like oneal who don't live up to their talent, play good when contract coming up and when they have long term deals, take multiple year vacations suck. don't they have enough pride to want a legacy of being the best or to want to be in the hall of fame?

some have 'opt out' clauses -
which are FOR THE PLAYERS benefit- NOT the team.

it is put in so that if the market IMPROVES or the situation is AWFUL
the PLAYER has a chance to leave.

O'neal would be FOOLISH to opt out- due to recent injurys & that he is making a TON of $......
Only way he'd make 44 MIL now is with a 4 year deal (minimum)
