Norwood's role expanding

Falcons tailback Jerious Norwood is entering his third season, and he's hearing the same projections of an increased role that he heard the previous two. The slow-talking, fast-running Norwood is guardedly optimistic that this coaching staff, unlike others, will finally get the ball in his hands enough for him to fulfill his game-changing potential. Norwood said he could line up at running back or any of the receiver spots, in a scheme that is based on establishing favorable matchups. The Falcons hope to get one of the NFL's fastest running backs in open space against linebackers or safeties, where he can possibly add to his 7.7 yards per touch average.

Well hes going to play second fiddle to Turner no matter what his "role" is

Turner will get the bulk of the carries but he should easily get his reps each game. Turner will be at his best if he gets less than 25 or 30 carries a game. Give Norwood the other 15 or so a game and they should have a heck of a run game.
I like the idea of using him as a receiver or a second back back there with Turner. After all it worked pretty well for the Saints two years ago.

When I saw the name Norwood in the teaser I thought they meant Scott Norwood.

Me Too! wow.

But yeah good call you guys, Turner could be easily a PRo Bowl back this year. That kid's got the goods.

Complete agreement. I've never been a Falcon fan in my life, but I'll be rooting for Turner. I think he'll be a star.
