Specter calls for Spygate probe
Sen. Arlen Specter reiterated his call for the NFL to initiate an independent investigation into Spygate. The Pennsylvania Republican entered a statement yesterday into the Congressional Record concerning the New England Patriots' videotaping scandal that repeated many of the points he made in a May 14 news conference, including a push for an investigation similar to the Mitchell Report that examined performance enhancing drugs in baseball.

Patriot fans should be saying: "Knock yourself out!" If the Patriots didn't do anything that has not already hit the media, let the senate investigate all it wants. And don't talk about the war or gas prices. On gas prices, the Repubs have been in there for a decade and the dems since 2006 and all they have done is vote against anything like new refineries, nuclear plants, drilling in the Arctic Circle or any option that might have avoided the mess we are in now.
