Casey still in Bulls coach mix?

Dwane Casey and Chuck Person reportedly had second interviews with the Bulls this week. Casey, 51, is the only known candidate other than Doug Collins with NBA head-coaching experience. He was 33-49 in his one full season at the helm of the Timberwolves (2005-06) and was fired midway through the next season. Casey is expected to become an assistant to Rick Carlisle with the Mavericks if he's not the Bulls' head coach.

What a bag of horsesh*t!! The Bulls are trully begining to embarrass me as a Chicago sports fan. Here we are now 6-7 weeks removed from one of the most disappointing seasons ever, considering the pre-season expectations, and we are still doing 2nd interviews with has beens and career long assistant coaches?!?! No knock on the coaches, who for what ever reason, are still the the Bulls coaching search, but for a supposed "Large market" team, we are really operating like small timers, and have been doing so for waaaaaay too long.

I was hoping this would go all day without a comment. That would have been justice for such a lousy story.

This article is so lame they didn't even use a picture of Dwane Casey, they recycled a picture of Paxson for earlier in the week.

No one believes that the Bulls problem is a new coach.

Makes you wonder why they haven't interviewed with Johnson yet? At this pace maybe they will do a first interview with him. More than likely the reason they are not going after Johnson is the same reason they can't come to terms with Collins. It involves money. With Reinsdorf making the final decision on these matters i'm sure that is why this is taking so long. D'Antoni knew better of the situation and ran now we are seeing why. Please hire someone already.

Sick of this sorry organization. **** guys!!

what im feeling horrible about is why didnt anybody want larry brown in chicago?...i was thinking that idea WAY WAY WAY before he said he had interest in his hometown bobcats..

Well, Paxson and Reinsdorf have done it again. Instead of getting a quality, brainy guy like Doug Collins, they're now scraping the bottle of the barrel. I used to blame Paxson, but it's pretty clear it's Reinsdorf's fault, too. Dither and Ditherer.

This just sucks if you're a Bulls fan.

Once again we see this lovely photo of Bill Paxson, serial killer, stoicly awaiting sentencing.

It took some extra effort from Uncle Jerry but I knew that he could screw this up and actually make things even worse. Not that I was excited about Collins but just what do you think the next guy is going to offer? A cheaper paycheck no doubt because that is where Reinsdorf lives and breaths.
If Paxson had any integrity left he would walk away right now. He would gain much more respect around the league by showing that he actually gets what everyone else has known for years. Jerry Reinsdorf is a complete fool and the biggest buzz kill in the history of Chicago sports. Come on Jerry. Please do us all a favor by selling the Bulls and White Sox and get the hell out of town already!

I think the perfect choice to coach the Bulls is Scottie Pippen !!!!

You people sicken me as a bulls fan, except for you grosse. Personally, I give Pax alot of credit for following through with what he said he was going to do. Due Dilligence. I'm in no rush for a coach. I say they take as long as they need to get the right guy for our team. I'm happy Doug Collins isn't going to be coach. Thank God! The guy is 57, and was in the running to coach the youngest team in the nba, now i don't doubt his basketball genius, but character wise I don't think he's the right the guy for the bulls roster. I back up all the remaining candidates, and i did my reserach. Elston Turner, Dwayne Casey, Chuck Person, Tyrone Corbin, and newly thrown in the mix Vinny Del Negro would all be more than capable.
