Chuck Person, Dwane Casey and Vinny Del Negro have been told a decision on the Bulls' coaching job is imminent, according to sources close to all three candidates. Those three interviewed last week -- Person and Casey for the second time. Sources said the Bulls talked with Del Negro on Saturday, and there were some indications the Suns' assistant general manager had emerged as the front-runner despite owning no previous coaching experience.

June 8, 2008  09:10 AM ET

I am really starting to dislike the bulls

June 8, 2008  09:31 AM ET

June 8, 2008  11:49 AM ET

how come they dont try to get vangundy?? hes defensive minded, he had the #1 defense with 2 diferent teams ( NY and hou), and ive heard he is open to offers

June 8, 2008  12:24 PM ET

What happened to Johnson?

June 8, 2008  12:38 PM ET

we need a coach like Person, i've heard a lot of good things about him. Who do you guys think is the best candidate among these 3?

June 8, 2008  02:08 PM ET

Person ?
if he coaches like he played......I would NOT want him.

June 8, 2008  02:19 PM ET

That's right Paxon. Screw it up again. If in fact you're making the decision, the job you save may be your own. Only an idiot would put this group of malcontents in the hands of an inexperienced coach--then draft the wrong guy and expect him to succeed. i can't wait to see this unfold.

June 8, 2008  04:42 PM ET

you people are seriously starting to piss me off with the Paxson bashing. what exactly has he really **** up? Other than his star players turning down contracts, Signing ben wallace which at the time was a good move, and actualy helped the bulls get to the 2nd round of the playoffs in 07. The only real mistake i can think of is trading aldridge for tyrus thomas in 06. other than that look at the good he's done. he molded the entire team that we have now. talented team might i add, and youngest in the leauge. which means they are still growing. I can't wait till the bulls become a dynasty under Pax,. and make all you internet monkeys look as dumb as the comments you post..

You will never see a Bulls dynasty. They're making one mistake after another. And they're about to make 2 more. If you're getting pissed off now, just wait. It's going to get worse before it gets better. Learn the game.

Chuck Person wasn't a role model as a player. I don't think he's the right coach for the Bulls. I have a feeling there will be a "Curse of MJ", the Bulls won't win another title for decades to come.

June 8, 2008  09:06 PM ET

Vinny Del Negro...... Vinny **** Del Negro!
That alone tells you exactly how screwed up this really is.
To pass up coaches like Collins, Saunders and D'Antoni for Vinny Del Negro who has no coaching experience at all (not even as an assistant) speaks volumes about that cheap jag off Riensdorf.

June 8, 2008  09:21 PM ET

J a.k.a. Da Commish, quit sniffing markers and look at the standings for the last few years, boy. The Bulls stink. They could have LaMarcus Aldridge and Tyson Chandler on their front line. Instead, they signed Ben Wallace and got Tyrus Thomas, which is why they're in the trouble they are.

June 8, 2008  11:27 PM ET

Paxson is a jackwad. Furthermore, we are all sick of seeing this ugly-ass photo everyday. He looks like a disgruntled mass murdering zombie with a three dollar haircut zoned out on morphine awaiting his first day of boot camp.

June 9, 2008  01:15 AM ET

is it just me, or does the headline make no sense compared against the content?

June 9, 2008  02:17 AM ET

Why is everyone bashing Paxson on the D'Antoni and Collins debacles? If memory serves me correctly, but it was Reinsdorf who screwed those up. On the Tyson Chandler situation, he never would of worked in Chicago. It took Chris Paul to make him the player he is today.

Blew the Gasol acquisition. Didn't do anything about possibly getting Garnett. The guy overthinks and by the time he does anything the parade has passed by. Both Gasol and Garnett are in the finals by the way.

PS There was all that c rap about Kobe, too, which undermined the team right at the start of the season because nobody knew who was and was not on the trading block. he didn't do a g odda mned thing to fix that and, if you remember, the Bulls were s crewed almost by about November. He is a terrible GM. Nice guy, but terrible GM.
